iPod: FM Transmitter vs Cassette Adapter

Got 2 off Ebay for 11 quid about 3 years ago. They work beautifully and never recieve interference from local stations. I bought the same type from the same seller not a year ago and it was utter rubbish, weak signal. The ones i bought may not be 'legal' in a sense that you can go almost 800yards away with a portable radio and get a clean signal still :D Maybe they cracked down on the power levels eventually?

When I got a transmitter I specifically got one with far superior range to the common 'chaff' on the market :D i.e. none of this 10ft radius poo, I went for one with 150ft or 150m, can't remember which, radius, and it did the job admirably - had a decent choice of frequencies as well, to avoid stations, although it mostly just blocked them out anyway :D. But now I just have a cheap head unit with a 3.5mm in port, from Aldi, and it wins. Even better, it has a USB port to play music off a flash drive, but I can plug my phone in, and it'll both charge the phone and play music off the memory card

You can get ipod connectors that actually plug into your stereo ariel connection, great sound quality and no interference. The proper integrated jobs are the best but these are a good cheaper alternative.
