FFS, you used to be a squaddie! Go in there, assert yourself and get the bloody refund rather than asking what to do on an internet forum.

So not only was the packaging damaged, the whole thing had been left on a window ledge for six months, shocking.

As for the case. Dude, take it back, ask for a refund/exchange, either get turned down and learn from it (it should have been returned when you discovered the screen was missing, or left in the box ready to return) or you might get lucky and get a new case :).
 
You have a broken case.
You have the receipt.

I reckon you should throw the case in the river and eat the receipt.
 
sorry to thread hijack but im also looking for shop advice.

i ordered a trampoline from a shop and paid 35 euro deposit it was just before the summer. after about 4 weeks wait i was told that they wouldnt be getting anymore.

I went on holiday and only recently found my order form again in a drawer.

I went to the store last weekend and the woman said I already got my money back!

After a bit of arguing in store she agreed to go and find the paperwork but since she said I got my money back in June it has been archived.

I don't remember getting my cash back but it's possible I did whilst out shopping for something else. However in this case surely the shop should have to proove they gave me my money back? The woman on the day came down with some computer printout which said i'd been reimbursed. I argued that perhaps one of her staff just closed the file and pocketed my cash. She wasn't happy with this statement though :D

and then ask for a replacement.

On a serious note, I would have thought that they would be legally required to provide you with a replacement, all else failing could you not go direct to the manufacturer and state where and wen you bought the item if the shop is non cooperative ?

Squaddies are not trained to be assertive. They are trained to kill. Don't fall back on squaddy training.

Just read your thread on getting ripped off for £1500+ on ebay for some jeans. What happened there ? suppose your still waiting to be told how to sort that also .

If people need advice on every aspect of their lifes , including how to return a crappy phone cover . GOD HELP US !

But isn't the contract between the store and the purchaser?

In this case, I'd play balls with the store.
 
Right guys,

I couldnt make it but my mum and my girlfriend went to the 02 shop.

They spoke to the same guy and he said it never left the shop in that condition so there is nothing he can do.

He said its just for show and isnt to protect the phone and never came with a free screen protector.

Now then ive just got home on gone on the 02 website and according to that, the case is exclusive to 02 and the description is as follows:

So its there to protect the iphone for bumps which it has failed without receiving a bump to start off with and it states it comes with a screen protector!

I am just wondering is it worth going to Blackpool now, paying for parking and going into the shop myself with this evidence and kicking off, or should i just write a letter to 02? Or just ring the store direct now and speak to that arse!

I went to small claims court with that and got my money back with compensation....
 
got the ****'s name, just tried ringing the store but it was ringing for 2 minutes until it cut off.

Im so angry at the way he has dealt with my mum and girlfriend, the attitude on him stinks!

Call O2 customer service and complain to them? the shop monkey probably doesn't care about his job or the customers
