Just got a Dell 2407 omg how good are they..

I've been thinking about changing my monitor for sometime and have heard good things about the Dell 2209 and was going to buy one. Anyways i was checking ebay to see if there was any going cheap and came across a 2407 for £180..Picked it up today and all i can say is wow its bloody brilliant i'm so made up with it, no dead pixles, no ghosting and no backlight bleed well chuffed..

Good price, those Dells are excellent monitors.

I would have ordered one a few months ago but I eyeballed my Samsung 2443BW on here for 160 quid.

what rev of 2407 do you have ? some suffered from ghosting, the rev a04 is the best.

Yeah its the a04 I have too, I wouldnt swap it for anything. Perfect 1:1 pixel mapping too on the A04.

How do you check what version you have, is it somwhere in the menu ?

rear label to check rev.

I had several 2407wfp's and the only problem ever was yellow tint on the right hand side (all of them). With the new U2410 there are a lot more problems. However, now I have got a good one it poos on the 2407.

However. If you have 200ish to spend you'd be mental to get a TN when you can afford a 2407 with warranty left even.

Had a 2407 (Rev A04) for just over a year, a really lovely monitor it was in every respect, sold it some months back and replaced it with a NEC 24WMGX3...
