Stalker 3.50 on Steam, worth it?

Hell yes. It's an awesome game.

For £3.50 I'd say most games are worth a punt, even if it's just to say that you've played it and hate it.

But in Stalker's case I'd say it is definitely worth it. Some didn't like it but personally it is one of my favs and one of the most atmospheric sp games of the last few years. It's worth it just for some of the thunder/lightning storms.

Something's worth is subjective, so in my opinion, it's worth a lot more than £3.50.

Hated it in all honesty found it massively disappointing for reasons I've mentioned in far to many threads - still for 3.50 you may find you like it.

Looks really good in the screens, hope the game's to my liking! For £3.50 I'm sure I won't cry if it's not.

3.40 is an amazing price. Still looks and plays great. Most of the bugs have now been fixed. If you havent played it, I dont think you can go wrong for that price

I've installed and started playing it and have to say it seems really good.
The atmosphere is terrific and very chilling.

The only issue I'm having is when I'm near a fire, the game lags like crazy, despite the frame rate being over 100fps. What gives?

Definetely a game I'm going to be playing more of, just want to fix this one niggle

I love the game. Playing it through for my second full time now.

I started it around 5 times before, but always stopped, as I reinstalled my PC and started a new game.

Absolutely love it. Especially when you get some of the mods in it. I just use repair mod, so I can keep my awesome GP37 and Exoskeleton.

Excellent game, with great replay value.

First time through I missed an important quest, but this time I got it =D

Buy it! You will love it!

bought this again to complement my DVD version. so i could install in win7 and the stalker complete 2009 mod. (i couldnt be bothered getting out my chair to get the install DVD from the other room lol) i reakon isaved more than £3.50 of my time by not having to hav DVD in the drive and have to download patches etc for it.

Yes it is, (insert hating Stalker haters here)! Yes the game is glitcy at times! Yes the graphics are a little dated now, but come on! As for atmosphere (one of the best ever if not the best) and enemy AI with the realism patch installed, it turns into a great game. By the dvd version though, I don't know if Steam likes you patching its games.

Best game on the PC IMO, and yes install the complete mod from the get go.
