5870 in stock?

Hi all,

I have decided (finally) on a 5870, but cannot find any stock anywhere. I would pre-order but i'm not overly concerned which brand I get...whichever comes first i suppose! Does anybody have any info on where/when stock is likely to appear? I have OCUK on favourites (refreshing every few hrs) but nothing seen in quite a while!

As far as i know, OCUK are getting a couple in every week but they are flying out to people who have been waiting in a pre-order list. The length of this list is unknown. Fatboy is the man to speak too, no doubt he will be along shortly.

Understood, thank you. Looks like it could be some time then! My monitor is 1680 x 1050. I have the money for a 5870, but is this card overkill at that resolution? Ideally i still need Dx11, but is there a lower spec card that will max out current games at that res?

Radeon 5850 Stock situation might be a little bit easier than the 5870.

As above.

The 5850 should be ample at that resolution, plus you can just clock it to 5870 speeds.
