GF needs a car

Hi all,

as you guys know your stuff my gf needs a car and has about £1300 to spend, must be a small hatchback so no mondeo's, is currently looking at polo's with about 70-100k on them is it worth a punt on a polo or can she do better?? looked at a heap of a 306 today but im not convinced french is the best way forward, gonna be used for about 50 miles a day

What about a little 1.1 106. Fantastic little cars, and can get low mileage with your budget.

50miles a day in any small car would suck HARD. I would push her to something a bit bigger like a 1.6 Focus / Golf.

My vote goes on a 1.6 Focus, or a Focus diesel. Within budget; my mate just got a V plate 1.6 for 1100

yeah good idea, I love my focus but it is the ST, would suck hard when I drive her car but will look about
