How much should I expect to pay to fix a slightly buckled wheel?

I got 4 new tyres fitted today and the guy told me his wheel machine had shown that one wheel was ever so slightly buckled. I'm going to ring around for some quotes on monday but I'm just wondering roughly how much I should be looking to pay?

Get a new one or at least a non buckled used one mate.

Agreed, Alloy doesn't like being bent too much and resulting buckle could lead to complete wheel failure (Cracks in the wheel you cant see). If your luck is anything like mine it will be at speed.

Looks like it won't be much more expensive to buy a new wheel as they're £100 each.

you can weld a cracked alloy

but you can rarely repair a buckled one.

Surely a cracked alloy will be buckled as well, otherwise how would it crack?

Fatigue, or impact can cause cracks without distorting the entire wheel.

I guess I was just thinking of any kind of bend in the wheel as being buckled

Buckled wheels are fine to repair, reckon on about £60

I know when my wheel was buckled I paid around £30-40 for a repair in full knowledge that I needed a new wheel. Lasted around 6 months (garage were looking for a second hand spare but none turned up in that time - had periodic checks done on it to ensure it was okay - no cost for this!) then it got wrote off so...
