Anyone here absolutlely bum the hell out of the ps3?

i also think the online is massively underrated just because it lacks a few gimmicks. 60 player RFOM2 runs so smooth that i cant even understand it (after years of laggy CS:S on pc)
 
I remember when I first got my PS3 on release date & when I picked it up thought "wow, now this is a real piece of hardware".

Trouble is that they deffo needed a new controller as the xBox is deffo the clear winner on that front. However good bit of kit but I rarely played mine & thus sold it (although I have been tempted to get a slim).

my JPN PS3 was around £800 :o I got the new shiny toy syndrome before release and impoted one.
 
Its an impressive bit of kit, perhaps to much, after close on 3 years its now starting to show what it can do in terms of its power compared to the other consoles. Something a little cheaper and simple to program for would have done Sony more good possibly in the long run, we will never no.
I use for a few exclusive games, mostly XBLA stuff and currently forza 3 on my 360, but it doesnt sit gathering dust it gets used weekly at least, i feel sorry for those who buy 2 consoles and only ever use 1. Plenty of great exclusive games on each to get buy, people who have a PS3 but have never played any of the exclusive games this year, especially uncharted 2 need a serious word with themselves lol.
 
I bummed mine when Uncharted 2 came out, now it's been cast aside again like some cheap whore while I go back to my 360 wife :o

The PS3 definately has the most fervent fan boys ;)
 
I've had mine nearly 18 months and only played 1 game on it lol. It gets used as a blu-ray only. I really just can't get on with the pad, its very uncomfortable for me to use. If it had the xbox 360 pad then i'd probably use it more
 
I suppose it's fair enough to feel like that as I really like my Xbox. My PS3 barely gets played now, but gets used as a BluRay player fairly often.. I definitely prefer the Xbox, and let's not even get started on the pad. ;)
 
My PS3 was bought for the exclusives and to replace my BR player. I am using it for gaming more than I expected to, mostly thanks to Uncharted 2. So much so that I got tired of moving it between rooms every time I wanted to play game/watch movie.

So I have now re-bought a stand-alone br player because I got tired of moving the PS3.

The PS3 and 360 are now sitting right next to each other in room where I do most of my gaming.

While the PS3 is getting more loving than I intended to give it, the 360 will always be my favourite - she may be a little older, but she's given me much pleasure and been very trustworthy/reliable.

Anyway I was not that impressed with the PS3 at all, even now it still lacks on the software front compared to the 360. Only reason the online is good is due to the servers for first party games, everything else Live does better.

Mine has been gathering dust, only reason I have not sold is due to Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain.
 
If they where lifting £250+ out of my pocket for the pleasure I'd be a lot happier.. As it is, it just seems par for the course..

I don't see it as any 'better' in terms of games etc then the 360, just different games, with the odd more polished (graphically) title, speaking of which, both consoles this gen have a lot of room for improvement graphically which I don't think we'll see until the next generation again..
 
Use mine around 50-50, Blu-Rays and games.

Used to have a 360 but it died and I couldn't go back to that.
