..i cant remember....
Hi All

I have been reading the Dan Brown: LOST SYMBOL book and it makes reference to "The Hand of the Mysteries" I did a quick web search (in order to weed out whats fact and whats fiction) and have found that it seems to be real all be it VERY VERY Limited info out there.

Anybody come across before in research or interest?

Be great to hear and also receive any links to websites that i may not have seen :D

He made it all up and he's a talentless prat.

I disagree (slightly). He jumps on the bandwagon and takes other peoples ideas and turns them into (readable) books/films and makes millions.

So on that basis he does have some talent...........

- Well so far, other than the story line, all references have come up as true.
I know we all entitled to opinion but yours made me LOL :D

Now, Susan, don't go telling me that you believe everything you read on the internet!?
:D
Seriously though, just because there is mention of something online doesn't make it fact.
I am sure the book has a very vague hint of truth about it, which is why it sells so well.

Completely agree, however, i have established the particular things that i have looked up to be true :D

Im intrigued is all :D

- "Talentless" does not make you a millionaire and a top selling Author. Thats like saying Tiger Woods is rubbish at Golf ! ha ha ha
Being a top selling author despite sensible conclusion does not make you a talented author. I would say he was talented at weaving a story from some conspiracy theories and a little bit of history, but he is truely terrible at conveying that in the written word.

Although I agree, you cannot claim that he is talentless which is what I am defending.

I love all of Dan Brown's books and they make very good films!

Have to disagree.

While the books do make a fun read, the film adaptations are truly terrible in every possible way. They hack great chunks out of the narrative, rearrange characters and plot points, and generally have nothing to do with the books bar the title.

To those that boo boo his books, they are just easy read fiction, and while not the mega literary masterpieces the media make them out to be, are fun to read imho.

Try telling that to Jordan!

If it's in a Dan Brown book then he probably pinched it from someone else so the info must be out there somewhere.

I enjoyed Da Vinci code even though he ripped the storyline from The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail (even get some of his characters names from it!) but once you read more than one Dan Brown book the formula stands out a mile. I swear every single book has the same plot just different characters and settings.
