I love this case but the fans are so damn noisy that I need to replace them asap. Things is though, the stock fans have dimensions listed as follows:

Front: 230x30mm red LED fan x 1 / 700 rpm / 19 dBA

Side: 230x200x30mm standard fan x 1 / 700 rpm / 19dBA (supports 120mm fan x 4)

Top: 230x200x30mm standard fan x 1 / 700 rpm / 19dBA (supports 120mm fan x 3 or 120mm x 1 + 230x30mm x 1)

Rear: 140x25mm standard fan x 1, 1200 R.P.M, 17dBA

When buying new ones do I base my purchase on the largest dimension listed above, which if so, would put me in the market for three 230mm fans and one 140mm fan?

If thats the case I see OC's don't have any 230mm fans for sale, the closest being 220mm. Will they fit in the case or might the decrease in size make them a little loose?

Also, is fan size important when it comes to cooling? Is big actually better?

I've never changed fans so I know little about this kind of upgrade. Sorry :(

At only 19dB they arent really that loud - More than likely turbulent air causing the noise. The side panel could be changed for 4 800rpm 120mm fans Wether or not that would make a difference i dont know. Ive taken out the top fan in mine for 3 Akasa Apaches for a Triple Rad. They seem pretty quite.

If not changing the fans, what about a fan controller and dropping the speeds even more?

Pretty surprised that some of you fellers consider the fans to be silent, I certainly don't. I'll investigate further today, maybe my cpu cooler could be the culprit.

I run them off my motherboard fan headers and they spin only at 550rpm as a result and speed up when needed. The problem with the HAF in my opinion isn't the fans, it's the fact the system is so open at the front, top and sides....every bit of noise gets out.

Why buy a HAF if you're not prepared for the noise it's built for ultimate cooling and nothing else.

I bought it primarily for the space and cable management it offers the owner with an eye on water cooling further down the line. Very few, if any reviews touched upon it being noisy.

Doesn't matter anyway, will be a getting a few Akasa Apache super silent fans over the coming weeks.
