Ah, I know the bit you mean. Yup, I would never cut in on that part :)

I was talking about the other direction where you are coming from bar hill and you filter off to go on A14 towards Histon (or you can filter to go into town via Huntingdon Road)
 
I'm usually coming along that stretch at about 08:20. Things were fairly jammed up from just after the A11 split this morning, more than usual for some reason. Glad you're ok though.
 
Then you'll be fine - or you should be anyway. Your insurer will claim the full cost from the 3rd party insurer. The only thing that might affect you in loss of NCB (2 years), but even then a lot of insurers will waive it if the 3rd party has taken responsibility, and since the police are involved and have agreed, then you're probably going to enjoy a steady premium for next renewal :)
 
I commute down that section of the A14 every day of the week. The worst section imho is the left hand filter lane after Bar Hill heading in towards Cambridge. I work in town and even though I'm at work for 7:30am ppl still leave it 'till the last second before pushing their way in.

On one highly hysterical morning even had an HGV change into my lane as the chevrons were running out.
 
Small world, it looks like my step-dad was one of the paramedics on the scene. Glad you and no-one else was hurt mate.

I wouldnt help anyone, that is only because i'll not take a risk that i could be blamed for an outcome, even if the odds are one in a million.

Ahh I thought you had just witnessed the accident and was just randomly taking photos :p Glad you okay though - never nice to have an accident like that :( I remember being the same and checking everyone else - only the car I was travelling in wasn't mine (I wasn't driving :p)

Also... look out for the new video - 6 cars, 1 lorry, 2 girls. :p Had to be done :D
 
Russ! Glad you're okay! Wondered why you weren't online today.

I'm going to be extra careful driving home on the A14 tonight. If I see any leftover bits from your car I'll stop in the road and pick them up for you!
