Snap judgements based on aesthetic characteristics?

You should read Blink. Basically your mind decides before you're conscious that you're asking the question.. So within 5 seconds of meeting somebody you have made up your mind about them. All the subconscious decisions occur in parallel parallel (or at least more than one).

Edit - people who wear scarves as a fashion accessory. Either wear it because it's cold, i.e. you have a coat and gloves on as well, or not at all. Wearing one round your neck with a t-shirt automatically gives the 'tardness away.

:o, I hold my hands up on that one also, I don't wrap it round my neck even :p, I like wearing it open dangling around my neck complementing my jacket, I never knew there was people that hated certain types of scarf wearers, you really have to be careful what you wear in today's snap judgement society it seems :(

Blokes who go out and wear a really tight pink t-shirt and a tiny scarf I just instantly think are dick heads
Blokes who deliberately gel/wax their hair to make it look "messed up" or to give it that just got out of bed look i think are ponces
People who go out in a Beany hat (which indicated their cold), a tiny "fashion" scarf and then just a t-shirt which again makes me think said person is a bit of a weirdo.

Mind you I do know a few people who do the above and they are tidy people, its just when i first see someone like the above I just instantly think "ponce" :p

Then again, im a skin head, with a big tattoo down my arm so im probably percvieved as being an idiot myself:)

Gents with moustaches are likely to attack you in a deserted carpark with their penis.

Anyone with ginger hair is likely to proclaim it to be 'auburn', confirming your suspicion they're an untrustworthy rear end in a top hat.

Indy dress code and people wearing clothes which are way too small for them + Jack Wills + Abercrombie (all of these groups collectively)= Avoid / don't like.

People using cheapo headphones = cheapskates / bad hearing / don't really care about the sound of their music.
