My housemate, who's Japanese often drinks this brown tea after eating. She gave some complicated Japanese name for it (which I obv can't understand) but said that it's commonly drunk after eating. "Brown tea"
The thing is, I keep getting wafts of it and it smells like weed!

Has anyone else encountered this stuff? She's not the type to do drugs or anything...but it makes me wonder :p

Try some, If you come back here and start posting about being chased by a giant pink rat, it's weed tea.

Why? Has it got acid in it?

I've been stoned for the past 15 years and I've never once been chased by a giant pink rat

I've just asked her again what it's called and we have a winner with post #6!

Hojicha? Basically roasted green tea.

Got any info on this stuff? I still reckon it has that kind of soft herbal smell that weed has. It's that when I caught a wiff of the stuff I remembered what my g/f halls accommo smelled like when I was at uni!
