Store bans staff wearing poppies

People dont seem to care about anything anymore.

Maybe the store is owned by a 100 year old german.:p

"They refused, saying it was their policy not to allow any staff to wear any badge relating to any charity."
In which case not to bad. But lets hope the public outcry will change their opinion.

If it's store policy not to allow any badges etc. then I dont really see the issue? You're at work, you agreed to the uniform.

Another sign that common sense has been dropped and everything that we were once proud of, celebrated or commiserated for is slowly being forgotten.

Agree with AcidHell2, hope the public airing of the story will actually make the people running the company think again.

It is thw rong descision, even though it is technically the stores call. The paper poppies should be allowed, but if it is the enamel pin badge, then not so. I woonder if the same store actually collects for the British Legion?

Erm I think he was saying it in the opposite sense...

What the hell is this contry coming to? Gets worse and worse everyday.

I'm going to wear a poppy with pride, celebrate Christmas (and actually call it Christmas not a religious festival) and have a St George's flag on my house when the world cup comes round next year......if that offends you then maybe you should sod off!!

I wonder how sad this makes these people feel, if I had been in a war like that I'd be absolutely devod at some peoples views in society toward it today.
