Just about to play West Ham in League Cup final.


My team hasn't been playing too well passed few games, not sure what is going on. :(
 
Won 3-0.

Was 0-0 at half time, changed to 4-3-3 at half time. All my strikers scored, Mutu, Jo & van Nistelrooy. :D

well i managed to get wellinton who is apparently an absolute monster in this game! Ignore the 19 million its only £4 mill upfront and the rest after 48 momths. Hes worth the 19 mill apparently.

Real Madrid offered denthre out for free for some bizzare reason. He will be class for stoke. feal like i have a very good team for stoke. Should make top 7

 
Hmm, Miranda looks a bit overpriced, I would have gone elsewhere personally. Never heard of Coutadeur, any good?

Edit: No Coutadeur in my (large) database :confused:

Lost of add ons mate. 4 mill upfront. Stoke cant afford spend the money all in one go. The scout gave him 5 stars. Hes got 16+ in all the areas a defender needs. Dont forget im stoke so i cant attract the mega players of this world.

Personally I think looking at PA ratings is just cheating. You take all the fun out of finding a gem by yourself.

I prefer using my own limited range of experience to pick up players and at least you get some satisfaction from finding one.

You should be ashamed :o
 
All you buggers talking about 50mil transfers, most i've spent is 55k at Shrewsbury :D

im tempted to play as Basingstoke but I remember playing them in FM09 and never got out of the league and was constantly mid table. It was a frustrating few years.

Went like this:

Loan players in = Top of the league
Loan players going home = drifting down the league
More loan players in = back to top
Loan players leave = finish mid table

I think i did that for about five years. No transfering of players not even on free as didnt have addition wage support. :rolleyes:

Uh, I don't actually go looking for players' PAs myself - the stuff that you've quoted there that I posted about the editor was because someone asked me how to do it, not because it's something I do. Those players' PAs that I am aware of is because I read and post on the SI Games player/team discussion forums, where stating PA is permissible and is frequently done as a matter of course when a player is talked about. If you browse those forums at all you will very rapidly become acquainted with all the best prospects and their PAs, but hey, knowing that Roflinho is a -9 or whatever hasn't crippled my enjoyment of the game yet.

As an aside, if knowing a player's PA is cheating, then I suppose reading threads where good players are named and scout reports and screenshots posted (such as, for example, this thread) is by extension also cheating, seeing as the only difference is by degree?
 
4-3-3 does it yet again.

Won 2-3 against Chelsea in FA Cup 5th round. Playing Cardiff next.


Went 1-0 up after a minute then they scored on 27 & 45+1 mins. Changed formation at half time and scored on 78 & 87 mins. :D
 
been on a loosing streak of about 8 games then managed to turn it around with 3 wins in a row and got 2nd place in manager of month award :)

I believe v2 of the cut out megapack will be available in a few days. Worth waiting for I think as you'll save yourself downloading about 20 different files and applying them on top of each other.

Re PA's, I can see that some might consider it cheating but it is only like a more accurate version of your scouts. As an example, bought some kid from Everton for £20m on the strength of my best scouts assessment only to find he has a PA of 168 so whilst good, he's never gonna be world class. Waste of money which to me is more frustrating.
 
I hate this game (mainly because I'm rubbish at it :D)

I just find it too predictable, last minute goals are way too common, penalties are never missed. Zaki has scored about 15 out of 15 this season I think and on a whole it's just too in depth for me now for a casual player. I loved 08 where you could find a decent formation and be consistent, this game the results tend to never make sense!

And pleasing the fans and players is a nightmare!
 
How do I import a shortlist?

When I go to 'Player Search' and click on the shortlist dropdown, the 'New Shortlist' option is greyed out, 'Save Shortlist' obviously isn't what I want, and there is nothing else :(

Anyone able to answer this please?
