Contrary to my earlier posts, I decided to give EA one more chance and lo and behold the system worked. The game was on 17 hours at around 7am this morning.
 
Damnit - I booked Friday off to play :p.

Mind I've been off work all week after the car crash playing Mass Effect. Guess that will have to do!
 
I play on normal also, once you get to the Ogre boss you will definately start to use the pause a lot, its impossible without.

He was bar far the hardest boss i've fought in a game for ages, really challenging but not impossible if you play the game like its meant to be played.
 
Does anyone know how the games are saved?

EG If I install it now to play and then copy it across to steam? I seem to have ordered a physical copy as well, and it's arriving tomorrow morning..

From ogre boss onwards its pretty much all like that. You have to make sure you carry PLENTY of health potions.

I had one crash, restarted the game and it has not crashed since.
 
All set. My 22" HD monitor showed up today, my big leather office chair yesterday, 80W 2.1 sould robbed from my brother and I'm off work til next weekend. Not that I requested it off to play DA, it just so happens Nov 4th was the most appealing day for me to get circumcised. Ahem.

Might be an idea to avert your eyes during the sex scenes. Could prove a little painful otherwise..
 
My friend managed to use a VPN program to trick Steam into thinking he is in the USA. Hes been playing DA:O like this for a few days now =[
 
Ok... so does Steam actually unlocks the game at 12am tonight or do I have to wait later (as Steam store suggest 1 day 3 hours!)

You have to wait until at least that time from the pre-orders I've had so far. They go on Pacific Time so perhaps by 8am you'll be very lucky.
