hehe I just ordered one myself lol - chances of that, but yeah it does say in the terms and conditions bit that they do send off information some times to credit agencies but I doubt it. they would use it as an advertising tool.
the credit ones usually you have to pay 4.95 a month and have a .99p charge when taking it out.... is it worth it?
Where do you get the information that allows you to speak with such authority? Looking here suggests that these types of cards CAN help boost your credit rating:
"The Last Resort: Pay for a special prepaid card
Costs £60/year, but anyone is guaranteed to get one!
Crucially, no credit check is needed to get the card, so is open to absolutely all. After 12 payments, it should show on your credit history as a fully repaid loan agreement, making you a more attractive customer to many companies, hopefully meaning you can apply for better credit card and loan deals."
While admittedly the wording suggests it might be the repayment of the fiver fee that increases your credit rating, it's obviously not as cut and dried as "they don't help".
