Just been victim of card fraud

Just checked my online account and O2 Prepay has taken out 2 payments of £15 today !!

Phoned bank and cancelled my card and will take upto 10days to get a new card, plus the time whether the posties want to get out of bed as well.

Bank say that this 02 scam has been happening a lot as 02 use an automated phone system easy to trick.

Pain in the ar$e I tell thee !!!!
 
I had fraud on my card twice in the last 2 months.....both happened on each card after topping up online at T-mobile. So beware when using t-mobile site I wont anymore.
 
I recently had my Nationwide cash card cloned and a load of money taken out at 12 minutes past midnight as I had already taken my limit for the day it was cloned.

Nationwide were fantastic and although I was told it would take 10 days to sort, I had a replacement card within 48 hours and the money back in my account by day 5.

It's a horrible feeling though and you just know that nothing will happen to the offenders, they will just get away with it.
 
Had card fraud a few times always use my credit card online so it's never been a problem. I call them or they call me, all monies back within a month and new card.

Credit card fraud departments are one of the few customer service services that I really rate, always friendly, helpful and quick.
 
Its a scary world really as I like to think I am very secure when dealing with my accounts. ( Cover up when entering PINs etc )

The worrying thing is they managed to spend with O2 without any challenge for my 3 digit security number . :eek:
 
I had this at the start of the year with Tesco mobile. I apparently took out 2 payments of £30 each. Managed to get the money back but still a pain in the behind!

Had the same thing awhile back on my credit card. They use tesco mobile to see if the card will work before going for something bigger. My card never goes out the house and hardly gets used , just online purchases. Credit card company was great but never found out how my card was cloned.
 
I had exactly the same last month with 2 x £15 phone topups coming out of an account I've not used for months. My card company called me to find out if they were genuine or not.

Just got off the phone from my CC company for the same profile (vodaphone) - apparently it's a common test for the crooks to check the card is a "worker". Equally as common for the card companies to check :)
 
Had similar thing except they used Skype twice to test it - but as they changed my secure code password I got an e-mail advising me and had the card cancelled minutes later. Proper hassle though as messed up the payment for all my pre orders.
