My new car.

Ditch the mud flaps

Are you ******* serious?:p

Just a little update guys, driven the car a good several hundred miles now and will fill up for the 5th time tomorrow since last Thursday:eek: Getting anything from between 200-240 miles out of a tank of BP Ultimate, wondering if I will get any better from V-Power? I think I can get better millage out of it but to be honest it's just too much fun to drive how it should be driven:D

you wont get any noticable improvement in MPG from V Power

Their thirst is legendary.

I average about 260/270 miles out my 55 litre tank in the Vectra, so only slightly better.

Very nice, a Friend of mine has an almost identical car, 05 Plate STi with PPP, although, further remapped, and around 330BHP IIRC.

I may have missed it, or you might not be willing to let us know but could i be cheeky and ask how much you paid for it?

It looks a stunning car :-)

I was thinking the same mate!

Looks a mint example of one! Id ditch the mudflaps straight away, never suited the road car IMO! Love the wheels!

from that 200-240, how much does the pump let you put in?

with my Integra, it has a 50L tank, but the light comes on with around 10L left, I'm too scared to run it low, so I always put in 38-41 litres

Averaging ~30.5 mpg

How big is the tank mate? Need to make myself feel better by working out your economy :D

60L:( I feel slightly better by the fact I can claim 40p through my company:D Work it out for me, I dread to think i'm getting worse economy than the AMG.

I paid just over £11k for it, complete bargain imo taking into consideration the fact its an absolutely brilliant example, really looked after by single owner from brand new and only had to sell it because he couldn't afford to settle the final payment on it. Win.

When I filled up yesterday morning the needle was about 2mm above the bottom and it let me put in only 45L meaning there is still 15L in the tank.

This morning I took it out and it's currently sitting on 1/4 tank left and i've done 188 miles.

~22mpg from a (relatively) small engined turbo consistently over a full tank? That engine is either very inefficient or you drive it fairly consistently hard......

Assuming you get the 240 quoted, thats averaging ~18.5mpg. For comparison i have been looking into the possibility of a CL600 Bi-Turbo recently (I am sure you need no clarification, but they run a 5.5L V12 Twin Turbo, a lot of owners have them remapped to ~550-600bhp), owners report low 20's as averages for those. I'd imagine that the S55K will be similar fuel consumption wise, so yeah your car is worse! :p

Yeah that does look to be a bargain... i was interested so looked around as its in the ballpark for my next car price wise, looks good and no doubt goes well. thanks for sharing :-)

When I had my Impreza and I was driving from Stratford Upon Avon to Coventry 5 days a week I managed to go through £360 per month of fuel.

Pretty meaningless figure without knowing what mileage you did, as £360 is hardly a large outright fuel spend for a whole month.

I wouldn't put BP Ulimate in it for a start.

Normal SUL or V Power. I was told last resort would be Ultimate.

Fuel consumption seems very high, even for an Impreza.

Good purchase although I'm a classic man myself :)

Why does anyone ever go to BP?

If you ever need petrol BP are always 5p a litre more than anyone else, ever, its so bizarre.

Granted it is a useless figure without any further information.

40 miles a day (includes return journey, 5 days a week)

Err, something is wrong with your calculations (or car) there mate. Are you really saying that your impreza was costing you £360 to cover just 800 miles?

Thats 10mpg....

Use V power only ..... Ultimate is rubbish read the threads on scoobynet, i only put vpower in mine and i get 300+ miles to a tank with mixed driving :D

I think they are awesome round the corners .... back off going into the corner then foot to the floor on the way out!! Dont let your foot off half way round the corner either ..... scared me !:D
