ATI 5770 is it a good performance boost over 4850

With currently running a 4850 for 1680x1050, would a 5770 suffice to give me a performance boost over 4850, would it allow higher options in games such as grid, nfss, burnout,
what do you guys think
and does anyone know for sure which manufacturer comes with dirt2

bit faster, bit slower...its more of a sidestep in all honesty. id save up for a 5850 if i were upgrading

5770 is always faster than a 4850, they are on par with a 4870.

sorry i thought you said 4870. they are mostly on par with the 4870s, though they are quicker with some titles, but slower with others.

yeah thats what i was hoping for, looks good,quite a boost by the looks of things, im happy at the moment with my 4850's performance but im liking the idea of dx11 and dirt 2, so any help with what manufacturer are doing the offer
