Is it a good night when you don't remember going out?

So, it was a college event last night (at Uni) and I've not got that drunk during freshers week, so I'm not used to drinking heavy again just yet.
I remember heading out, I remember going on the way to the bar and at the end of the night remember vaguely being carried by my flatmate's GF into bed.
The rest is gone, I can't remember a thing.

I hope I had a good time in this blank space, but chances are I was a drunken heap that collapsed in the corner of the bar or made an ass of myself in front of 100 or so people.

Anyone else been in this situation? :(

Maybe your awesome alpha-ness made her see that your mate was a sap and she wanted your drunken body.

Nights like that are funny...I just had a flashback of last weekend...

went out with my friends...we were rather drunk and ended up walking into a strip bar....my friend ordered a black coffee! Then he got angry because they didn't have any brown sugar....I've not laughed that hard for ages!

No. You're the first.

Cutting. :D

It happens from time to time, getting to that stage of drunk is neither big nor clever although sometimes it might be just what you need and give you a jolt back to reality. Asking your mates what happened can be a dangerous thing though, if they realise that you've got no recollection and they've of a mischevious bent then they can make up any story about what you've done and you can't gainsay it.

And I just nearly knocked myself out trying to find the toilet. Was using the walls for support in my corridor, tried to get to the opposite side and rest on the other wall, tripped and went head first into it. On the plus side I found the toilet door. : /

Congratulations, you shagged your flatmates bird.

A woman carried you to bed ??

are you a stick or is she a chunky one ?

and yes i remember my first shandy too.

I don't know what would be more gutting if I did. That I ruined a friendship, or that I can't remember the details of his GF.

I 100% sure that I didn't do anything wither her though, I never go after mate's girls, as far as I'm concerned she's not even plumbed, plus I'm besotted with my GF, I doubt any amount of drink will make me forget that. :)

I've been pondering this a lot recently, not specifically related to drinking.

In my opinion, any experience which you can't recall is ultimately pointless. Life is about building memories, moments which you can cherish and draw upon on when you're feeling low - achievements, experiences, people you love or have loved, etc.

You might have had the time of your life on your night out but if you can't remember it, a) you probably just made an ass of yourself, made a pass at someone who clearly wasn't interested and ended up a drunken heap on the floor with everyone laughing at you and b) even if you had the time of your life, you've not really added to your "cache" of memories.

Edit: If you were so drunk that you've lost your memory then I doubt you were capable of "performing" so I wouldn't worry too much about that ;).

Give it time, you've already crossed into the beginning of our nations traditional relationship with borderline alcohol abuse, so the rest will follow on from there.

Woah, you guys are real party animals!

You abused alcohol enough for it to completely suppress your short-term memory for hours.

If you consider pointlessly excessive drug use that you didn't enjoy a good night, then yes it was.

If you don't, it wasn't.

Your call.

Well, I went to a mates BBQ, I remember getting there, and waking up.. The rest's a blank.
I woke up with a few marks on my face, I'd completely passed out and smacked my face off the concrete in the garden and all sorts.

Good news guys, I've talked to my flatmate's GF and I didn't do anything really bad. I was just really merry apparently. It was a good night. :)
