*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

COD4 is just mental on PC with servers that size, the maps just aren't big enough for it and all you end up with is a massive scrummage, a million airstrikes, and constant choppers.

Some people like that though and that's fair enough, no need to remove the choice.

It's dumb to take away servers, they could have left them in alongside the new matchmaking system and given people a choice. Now everybody has to put up with host advantage.

Not the thread though, plenty of places to moan in the PC forum.

does anyone else feel bad for buying the game as activision are just treating pc dudes like mugs with pc
getting iwnet and 9v9 online..? i do lol (I ment this in the sense)

Am i the only person feeling quilty about buying the game (on console) as :
a)PC people are stuffed with 9v9 limits and no dedicated severs etc
b)They are clearly in a pursuit to make more money with iw.net getting rid of console features and mods
that make sense?

I'm a PC gamer first and foremost but the bottom line here is that PC gamers just have to wise up to the fact MW2 is not a fully fledged PC fps. If I want hardcore epic battles I'll play Arma2. There is no doubt that IW should have offered dedicated server support as an option over their system but the fact is CoD4 was a total mess on those massive servers anyway. I mean it was great if you love meat grinding. So no, don't feel guilty. IW have never made a bad game and I suspect this will utterly rock.

MW1 was not a fully fledged PC FPS either, it's not drastically different from MW2 it still feels and plays the same.

What a stupid claim lol, dedicated servers have been in PC games for ages, it's just a standard and it's in no way something only "fully fledged PC fps" games have.

I don't think you get what I meant. By fully fledged PC game I mean, by definition, a title that has dedicated server support. Therefore, CoD4 was fully fledged and IW even stated that at the time.

MW2 isn't. Dedicated servers are a standard, yes, and MW2 doesn't support them. Any online PC fps needs them to be the real deal. That simple. For this reason, I'll happily play MW2 on the 360.

I sure hope theres a barebones playlist with no perks, attachments or killstreaks. I dont like the idea of all this extra stuff sometimes. Maybe rotate all the gametypes.

They should do the same for non party chat games ; have a seperate playlist for that.

Seems I stepped into the PC section, oh wait I haven't. Plus console talk only, its depressing enough going in the PC section and hearing you lot moan.

a friend of mine played mw2 and a few days ago and now he just told me his 360 is banned from live,he was playing MP online.so pirates need to watch out lol

Hmm dont you need to be a member seeing as its a cash and carry?

Also certain trade in store is selling MW2 for £75 thats the £45 edition, wtf

Im starting to get really itchy feet now I don't have a preorder. I wish the supermarkets would announce what their plans are! I wonder if they will put their adds in todays paper on Mondays.

If I get this for the ps3 can I use mouse and keyboard?

Might still get it anyway but I have always been a PC gamer but just got a PS3 and want to get it on there.

I think it's pretty obvious they will cut the price by a tenner or so. I don't think it will be until a day after release due to them sending out so many games at full price.

It wouldn't be good for them to sell at £44.99 and then on launch day sell for £29.99. I reckon that's why one store has sent them out early. Get those seals broken before they drop the price ;)

Saint I don't think you can link to those deals as they are a competitor :)

£26, I'm defo not bothering with my order then for £42, it can go back.
