The "I'am excited about playing modern warfare 2 on the PC thread.

Arrived this morning. Not bothered installing yet as I assume it won't activate through Steam until the official release date. 2 DVDs as well.

Got mine this morning too. Can't install either SP or MP; it won't confirm the serial key when you try to install for the first time.

I'm slightly concerned that on the back of the case it says "Not for sale in UK". I hope this doesn't give me problems installing this with Steam. Region-based serial keys have been a problem on Steam before...

Glad I cancelled my preorder there then.

It'll be funny if everyone who ordered there can't authenticate their copy due to invalid region

Guys dont forget to adopt the correct posistion whilst playing this...

On all all fours, ass cheeks wide open.....more comfortable for both you and IW that way..

Aside from single player I can't say Im holding out much hope for buying this at full price - when I finish dragon age it might be more reasonably priced

Looks like the French version from the cover's 18 rating logo. Think others have been receiving them too. Don't know if they work or not, but I'm sure it'll be fine. I believe 360 versions that are like this have been OK, but I don't know Steam's restrictions. Good luck.

LOL at how many gamers seem to be obsessed with value for money, driving a speed boat round is terrible value for money but bloody good fun.

Actually thats a pretty good comparison - spending a couple of hundred squid throwing wakes over kids in dinghys, oil and sound pollution, thinking people on the shore are watching with envy when actually all theyre thinking is what a bunch of ****s.

I think its more likely people LOL at paying full price for a game because its badged 'MW2' and has 6 hours of SP gameplay. But each to his own, if youre excited about it go for it. Its value is what you feel really. Sure the guys in speedboats are probably having the time of their lives.

Strange thing is though theres no French text anywhere and the manual is in english. There is also "UK" on the end of the number above the barcode and the activision address is the UK one.

Also Pegi is now used in the UK. From wiki "On June 16, 2009, it was declared by the UK's Department of Culture, Media and Sport that PEGI would be the sole classification system for videogames and software in the UK (previously, some videogames were rated by the BBFC).[5]" http://kotaku.com/5292677/pegi-triumphs-over-the-bbfc
