I'm not sure they would be, they did very little about the people that killed the psp.

But seriously, CFW and cheap people unwilling to pay for software killed the PSP fo sho.

I've had a great idea for MS to stop people from using custom hdd and memory cards though - don't massively over charge! In all fairness to Sony, upgrading your hdd and using usb sticks is supported and does not result in them breaking your machine etc.
 
I know what you mean mate, and it's a fair point.

I was just having a joke, as no-one would have predicted the DS' runaway success.
 
Speak to consumer direct. They're essentially trading standards and will get you further than watchdog.

Well your profile seems clean enough - nothing to worry about, no dodgy games - just a lot played really. Would do as others have said and ask Watchdog, or CA or wrap it in a nice war towel..
 
I'd ring them and say you are going to contact trading standards or whoever.
If there are no mods at all on the console then they effectively conned you out of your money.

I'm Memphis on this one still. I'm more inclined to think there's some fact that's not been mentioned so far by the OP, than it's a balls up at the MS end.
 
Yeah because MS could never **** something up could they..? Even if they did they'd sort it out because they care about their customers too much to let them down huh??
 
What pathetic customer service. To turn round and say they won't even explain or hear what you have to say because they've 'made their decision' is ridiculous. Hope you get something sorted out dude.

Whats the point in wrapping it in a towel? they wont have it back for repair.

Not saying I don't believe you, but how did you manage that? If you try to request a repair they can see it's banned straight away by the serial number, and they usually refuse repair :confused:

I didnt know they didnt fix banned consoles - guess youre stuffed then. Sell it for whatever you can and get another?
