The Fourth Kind Movie

I read that its not up to much. Shame because its looks good in the trailer.

Wife won't watch it with me so might have to do a billy no mates and go on my own.

After initially being quite interested in it, I have now decided that I am in fact a chicken, and likely to lose a weeks worth of sleep after watching it...so I'm going to pass! :D

(I dreaded night time coming after seeing 'I am Legend', this kind of demonstrates my chicken-ness :p)

(May contain spoilers)

Saw this with the girlfriend today at the Vue in Leeds (the light).

Thought it was absolutely and totally, pants.

Nothing new on the whole abduction theme, was not scary, scariest part was the woman's face in the interview documentary scenes, acting was decent, but the story on the whole was really lacking. I'd like to explain in more technical terms what I thought of it but to be honest I'm an average-joe film watcher, it left me feeling cold, I half feel like spending time mulling over the story to try and get some kind of depth out of it but I really think it'd be pointless.

I wish Pandorum was at more UK cinemas; apparently it's only on in London (WTF?).

I was thinking about seeing this movie .. bit undecided though, not sure I believe it being a true story.

Why don't I know anyone that is that scared of horror movies... I swear I would knock on their window late at night when they are about to fall asleep! :D

I thought it wasn't too bad, of course it could have been better but overall it wasn't a bad movie. Always fun seeing my girlfriend scared aswell...:D

Went to see it last night, nice piece of movie making.

Starting with the bottom line, tbh id sum this up as one of the best episodes of the xfiles. Thats meaningless i know, it just gave me that feeling with the setting/tone of the film, im not complaining.... everything i got last night, i wish last years 'i want to belive' had been.

From the top though, i had no idea what this film was about, aside from the basic idea i was going to watch some kind of true event/alien abduction type film. Because of that, the film started extremly slowly, took 20 minutes to figure out what was going on, the slight explanations at the start were meaningless, the film realy doesn't explain itself very well. Having said that though, knowing nothing about any of the story probally is the best way to enjoy this film, you'll walk away wanting to know more... the mark of a good film imo.

One thing though, while i think the general side by sides were great, the parts being acted seemed very wooden, untill the film gripped me, i probaly wasn't enjoying it because of that.

As for scary/horror, i don't think so.. you either belive it, or you don't, you drop in either catagory, you'd probaly be excited by it, unless ofcourse you wake up in the middle of the morning and see owls at your window:)

4/5 it'll grab most, the xfiles hook, good movie making, something different... lasting effect.

I thought it was okish, but nothing special whatsoever. Also, There is no documentation of these 'factual events' taking place before the 13th of August, last year which is probably when they started filming. This leads one to believe that the story was fabricated to make the film seem more interesting and mysterious than it actually is/was.

Bring on Harry Brown after that! :p
