I have the Bold 9000. I think I might upgrade to this during Christmas if I can sell the 9000.

Ive heard its already out on Tmobile...went into a tmobile shop and they said they dont know but then i dont expect them to know anything in all honesty. Been checking on crackberry and a few people are saying Tmobile have them in stock and even in some stores.
Voda are getting stock Mon so they should start shipping out tues or mon night with any luck.
Looks like Tmobile beat everyone to the punch this time round
Sim free looking at the 23rd or 24th of Nov...thats when i should be getting mine.

I'm waiting on an insurance replacement bold... if it isn't in by this release they have to offer me a 9700 (been waiting 3 weeks for stock so far).

Well to be fair they dont have to offer you a 9700...they may be nice enough to give you one as a replacement but id say with 99% certainty that you will get a Bold rather than a 9700. But good luck with getting one.
Id take that with a big pinch of salt unless O2 really havent any plans to release it this month...if i hear anything ill be sure to update.

Does anyone remember how long it took O2 to get the 8520 after the other networks?
Getting the Bold II now, had a go with my mates Bold the other day and loved it so I think thats my mind made up, super cheap contract too so its all good.

Already offered a Storm 2 and they will - the bold is out of stock, has been for 3 weeks. It makes logical sense.

.The money that you will end up paying on ebay isnt worth it and what about the warranty??...i used to buy phones off ebay but since being stung on a warranty for a phone that i bought and ended up faulty...ive decided never to buy another phone from ebay...unless your not worried about the warranty then fair enough.
Also the phone might be very pricey on ebay...ive seen them being sold for £380 sim free online and thats not through ebay...just have to google around a bit...also they wont be available until 23rd of Nov, thats the sim free unbranded handsets...the network models are available now according to Tmobile and Voda...Orange might be this week and O2 havent said a thing about carrying it.
But seriously id stay away from Ebay...like i said a bit of googling will find them being sold between £380-£420

Plenty of people on there who have one and given their opinions.
I played with one last week...it wasnt a retail version but a dev unit and i have to say i was very impressed with it...its very fast for one thing...i thought my Bold was fast but this just blows it out of the water.
If you look back a page or 2 ive actually posted my opinion as to what i think of the phone.
Just be aware that it isnt a touchscreen like the Hero is...plus if your wanting to browse the web then the built in browser is ok but its not as good as the iphone or google browser...its not exactly a multimedia device although its capable. So decide if you want a multimedia device or a proper communication device...if its multimedia then Hero is your best choice...awesome little phone but if its for email and communication then the 9700 Bold2 is probably your best choice.
I suggest having a play with both at some point and see how you get on with them...voda and tmobile stores should have them on display.
