*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

I'd be stupid to pay any more than £26 then, but I bet they'll have been pre-ordered or put aside or something stupid and then the other place will likely be sold out after pre-orders and midnight launch.
 
I received my copy but I havent installed it yet... is it true we have to wait till release date in order to play online? Im curious if the multiplayer is as crap as we expect due to dedicated server issue.

IW said they won't be punishing anyone for playing early.


Steam won't allow you to install it before launch though I think.

Only the PC crowd are expecting it to be rubbish due to no dedicated servers. The console version will run exactly the same as CoD4 but with enhancements so i was under the impression pretty much everyone expects it to be good (or rather, those that enjoyed cod4 expect it to be good).

To be fair, even i sometimes forget that the console version will have the same features as its predecessor due to the amount of noise the people that want it on the PC are making.
 
Checked the parcelforce website earlier today and my order is now at the hub, so hoping it gets delivered tomorrow morning :)

Has anyone ordered the mw2 ps3 controller as well by any chance, starting to think it will probably be some cheap tacky thing since its made by madcatz ...
 
i hope mine comes 2mor,i cannot wait much longer.Some people on my friends list has been on it all day :( i even try joining there game with cod4 in the drive but the 360 is having none of it lol :P

I do wish people would stop throwing toys out the pram over video games, a game is a game, you can literally do whatever you like and much like MANY films, certain things may be designed to shock you to enhance the experience.

It was the same when Manhunt was released and all the retailers taking it off shelves because some nutcase killed someone and blamed a game, honestly. :rolleyes:

If it bothers you that much, dont pay for it, simple.
 
Incidentally, I can confirm that the £26 price is for 5 days only, and is strictly limited to one per customer. They'll be doing absolutely loads of advertising for it this week though (starting tomorrow).
 
Just so you all know,

Ranks are not being reset now
for people who got the game officially i.e bought it.

It will be reset for pirates/illegal copies only.
