Modern Warfare 2 - PS3/360 vs PC?

Got all three and I descided to get the 360 version (had PC version of COD4). If they patch the PC version for dedicated servers then fair enough, otherwise, I would just buy it for whatever one of the two consoles you have more friends on/enjoy more. Thats why I went 360 version, although I feel like a tool for doing it now :/

I agree about the controller, But the "Game is designed around live" comment?

Ouch, Seriously.

It is designed around online play, that much is obvious. But to be specific, That's just silly.

I should have been more specific, matchmaking is integrated into the game much like Halo 3, and it has taken a step away from the usual PC dedicated server/client model.

I would have thought that the 360 would be the prefered version out of both consoles. For one it will have exclusive? downloadable content coming at some point, the controller (imo) is more suited to FPS games in general and I would have thought that Live would be better than PSN although COD4 was pretty decent on the PS3 so I'm not sure how much better Live will be?

Although in the PS3's favour which was certainly the case in COD4 was the fact that you rarely came across screaming american 13 year old's.

I would get it on PC as its cheaper. Since they chopped off all the good PC features theres no other reason apart from the use of the mouse.

If its like COD4 where there was no difference in gfx between 360 and PS3 then its down to the controller you like best and if you have payed for xbox live .

Out of interest it would appear Sainsburys (don't think they count as a competitor) are doing MW:2 on the 360 for £26 from midnight. No idea what (if) price they are doing it on the other two platforms for though

If you don't want to use the MP on pc,
buy whatever is cheaper for the console/whatever is your prefered platform to play on

Personally i would lean towards the ps3 simply for the free online play in the event you don't resubscribe your gold membership

Problem solved

Do you have strangely shaped, crippled, tiny hands then? ;)

I agree with his comment actually, I've been playing Playstation since the original PS1, any other controller in my hand just doesn't feel quite right tbh, I also prefer the symmetry of the pad, although ergonomically speaking the 360 fits your hand nicely I prefer holding the a pad loosely with my fingers rather than it filling the palm of my hand like the 360 pad or even ergonomic mice for that matter on the PC, I usually go for lighter symmetrical mice that can be controlled with your fingers, it's strange I know but I feel too 'locked in' with ergonomic controllers or mice.

Xbox 360 .... is there really a question ?

Yes for some people there is, A) they may prefer a different controller, B) they may prefer not paying for live, and C) they may prefer playing on a quieter system, which is the main reason why I purchase multi-plats on the PS3.

A) i'll half give you that one ;)
B) Anyone with a 360 that doesnt have Live .. well whats the point so thats a non factor imho.
C) Hence why you install the game on the 360 and its as quiet as a mouse ;)

PC

I cant really play FPS games unless they're exclusive on a console because I get bored. Depends really. I'll probably end up buying it for PC and 360 because my mates have it on 360. complete co op and play it for a month then sell it on.

Same with me. I'll buy it on PC then probably on the PS3 aswell as thats what my friends have bought it on.

Then I guess it's subjective then because even with the games installed on my 360 it's is certainly not as quiet as a mouse, I've owned over 12/13 360's and non of them have been quiet imo, well actually my original launch day system was quite respectable in the noise department but that system didn't last very long, every subsequent system I've owned after that has been considerably noisy even just sitting on the dash, and to be fair it's not just the system that's noisy but the tiny annoying fan in the external PSU also.

The point is I can play the SP campaign on exclusives on the 360 that I enjoy like Halo ODST for example which I purchased and completed day one.
