This little gem was being shown off at SEMA this year. 427ci small-block, big Hoosier tyres, and a virtually stock bodyshell nailed to the custom frame. Insanity. Pure insanity.

Want one.

Lol mental :D and I thought the Morris Traveller dragster with the supercharging sticking out through the bonnet that I saw at Santa Pod was crazy!

That looks bloody mental :)

The new 500 looks like it may revive Fiat, seen loads and loads of these on the roads and they do look nice, might get 1 for my daughter.

I'm slightly skeptical the 'lid' actually lowers down without removing the bonnet. The whole car seems a little pointless but it sure looks good :)

I'd have been more impressed if it'd actually been a 500, and not just the outer skin of one attached to a completely custom chassis.
would that even be worth the effort?
the original structure would have to be modified so much it wouldn't have resembled the original in any way

it won't, i think you can see a hole cut in the bonnet in the first pic.

No they'd have had to remove huge chunks of the car, but at least then it would've actually been a 500.
That could be a dozen other cars and could have different skins bolted on.

Amazed that there are exhaust headers and a steering rack squeezed in there somewhere :D
