Can you use the NAV_DB 2008 with an E39 nav system setup?

Most nav DVD's are interchangeable.

There are two types of BMW Navigation DVD - one for I-Drive fitted cars (Except the E65) one for those without (and also E65).

Both are produced several times a year and are both available up to and including 2009-02.

I have ran the BMW 2009 DVD in my VW system although it stopped lane guidance from working everything else did including TMC.

fair enough, i didn't know they were still updating them for non-iDrive cars

i thought you meant that you could use the iDrive ones on older ones.
ie. a E60 dvd on an E39
