Dragon Age: Origins - SPOILER Discussion area.

Anyone found Zev, the Assasin yet.
I like him in evil, sadistic way. Reminds me of an evil Antonio Bandares :D
Im pretty sure he also, erm, swings the other way so to speak :o

Yeah, I have him in my party, haven't used him much. You get him from one of the random encounters when you are enroute to somewhere.

I eventually got past that area in Redcliffe by using Morrigan to pull the enemies from the milita up to the knights two or three at a time once the rest of my group were dead. Not my most satisfying victory :P

EDIT:

Also, I have now ****** Alistair off a fair bit (Comes from trying to make Morrigan happy :P) and it seems like nothing I do now works to make him happy (Got -24 to him for killing the woman to save the boy :() Any ideas on how to get on his good side again? Talking just does not work.

Spoilers for those looking for good 1H swords:

The Keening Blade
3 Runeslots.

This is the best 1H sword in the game. You need to find three codec entries in each of the three recruitment areas (the races you're trying to get on board to fight the blight).

  • Adventurer's corpse in Ruined Temple on the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest in the southwest corridor.
  • Brecilian ruins' Lower Ruins in the south fire trap room.
  • Gotta talk to an adventurer in Orzammar's Tapster's tavern.

These codex entries reveal the location of a demon in Denerim, go to the dirty back alley, and fight Gaxkang.

Topsiders Honour
3 Runeslots.

This is started at the Warriors Grave in Orton Thaig (about halfway through the Dwarf quest), and you need to unite the three pieces whilst completing this part of the story line, take it back to the grave, voila.

Without spoiling it, is there much to do after visiting the three recruitment places? I've done one, two to go and I'm about 25 hours in.

it depends if you do sidequests or just the main story quest , once you finnish the game you can no longer do any sidequests or explore the world but only stay in your camp and do the dlc if you havnt

Bit confused here.

I started by doing the Radcliffe castle part, i have now chosen to go get the magi. Do i have to complete all the quests in the Magi place to get them to help with Conner?

Well I finaly went to get Shale last night.
All I can say is, talking cats are BAD and Pigeon crap :D
I then decided to go to the Dalish and play with some werewolves, oh god the pain.
I managed to kill the old crazy hermit after about 10 trys and then get half way through the area before I had to turn back due to full bags and running out of pots :D

Also, whats with Zevs strange facination with Winns boobs, lol

How do you fight the mage, i traded with him then chose to attack him but he keeps teleporting away. I went and did the werewolf bit and now he wont even talk to me.

Last night I was doing the DLC (not Shale) - the soldiers fortress one. Drank a concoction (saved first obviously!) and my mage now has some of the blood mage abilities, but he's not a blood mage!

Can regen mana quickly and has a decent grip attack that does a reasonable amount of damage, not bad for drinking one potion.

I have the point to spec but haven't seen a trainer, but as far as I'm able to see he's still just a mage with that spec point to allocate :D

AHHH yes, the crazy old warden mage's research :D
On my warrior you get a not so helpful speed & damage boost that is more likly to get you killed and an AWSOME aoe knockback effect which has saved my butt a few times.

I've spent maybe 30+ hours on this already and im not even half way through the game yet.
How the hell are people doing this in 20-30 hours, you must be missing a HELL of a lot of content.
