weve said all the bad things already, doesnt change the fact that theres no freedom in the game anymore (something i would really miss) i cant stand games that dont even let you pick your lvl never mind who you play with. i personally just feel like im banging my head against a wall of players who really dont want to get into a game they just want a quick thrill. as for all the ill beat you at cod 4 **** so what? the games still a piece of ****, as far as im concerned youre not playing properly until you play with a bolt rifle. spray and pray is just not fun because its beyond unrealistic. you cannot fire an automatic weapon from the hip while moving and hope to hit anything.
if cod is now an arcade shooter then yeah im fine with that. just not what im after in a cod

i will however be waiting for and buying the new battlefield a game which is an unabashed aracadey experience

MP on and off host seemed fine to me, as people have said games were found instantly in a variaty of game modes and i didnt notice any lagg on any of the servers, everyone had 3 green bars except host who had 4 (im asuming thats the host) so to be honest i think its actually very good. obviously it would be nicer to have dedi servers for clans and perfect connections all the time and also the administration side of things but its not ruined the game.

From reading through, the server side is not as bad as we all feared. There will be people who have niggles about certain changes and omissions, however I am sure this is the same with nearly all game sequels and die hard gamers.

Best way is to buy it and then comment I guess. Let you know in a few hours when I get home ;)

sorry once again what does 3 green bars mean?
see ive heard 3-4 means 100ms ping which is just passable
 
From general observation of the last couple of pages it looks to me like Thorpy is the kind of person who gives pc gamers a bad name with their pathetic elitist attitude

It is and it isn't, there are still issues that even if IWNet works lag free and with instant connections and migrations you just can't fix.

Difficulty of clan match ups, difficulty of modding, removal of server style community build up etc. Things like that aren't going to change regardless of how technically well IWNet functions, A perfectly functioning Ford Fiesta will still never be as good as Porche 911.

So compared to COD4 how does it play and compare graphically? This is the most important factor in my opinion.

Elitist? Because I've played CoD since the beginning and it just gets easier and easier with every release. Kinda second nature after a while :p

Retail copies were yes, Steam bought copies release on the 12th.
 
ah ok, thought i might have missed something!!
well with the weather we got at the mo and by what mate said when he went to town to buy his waiting a day and half wont matter
