90s What an era

Early 90's were epic

Nirvana
Alice In Chains
Prodigy
Oasis
Metallica
Notorious B.I.G

...and those are just the acts I'm currently listening to weekly, if not daily.

i was born in 76 so grew up in the 80s..... and i ******* hate it. can't stand 80s stuff at all.

and the 90s were only good for one thing - hardcore/rave/techno. i can't imagine what my neighbours used to think of me. my mate had this on vinyl and it got played loud. :D

that's some proper 1993 techno. it makes me cry when i hear some of the stuff labelled as "techno" these days. :(

90's was simply the greatest decade for Dance music, I was born in 77, and the 80's stuff was pretty poor.I like hiphop from the 80's but thats about it. The 90's spawned Rave,Techno, even top DnB. Then we had some truly magnificent Trance, stuff like cafe del Mar, man that track is still awesome. So pretty much yes, it was cracking decade.

OT but I really hate everything about the 80's, its was just a rubbish decade, the clothes, hairstyles, music, just everything.

Way, and the 90's in general, was dog **** for music, especially the early 90's.

Damn - the 90's were awesome for music - rock music finally matured from 80's hairspray rock, indie music was at the top of its game, electronic music matured thanks to all the new technology...

Best decade musically of the 20th century by a million miles.

lol @ Coolio ffs man! Prodigy were at their best in the very early 90's and iirc after '95 with Firestarter they went downhill. Their tracks just never had that fresh feel to it.

80's were mile's better for music tbh. The 90's did have some quality bands popping up towards the end of it though I do admit.

90s are my favourite decade for music.
Seconded. RATM, Helmet, Quicksand, Handsome, Soundgarden, Silverchair, Stone Temple Pilots and many more of my favourite bands were knocking out their best in the 90's, I can't believe it's nearly 20 years since some of them started too...

The 1990s were undoubtably the decade where electronic\dance music came of age. For that reason it's worth the price of admission alone.

As for rock music, although it probably didn't match earlier decades in some regards, it was *far* better than what we have now. Well if the mainstream is to be believed.

How anyone can say the 90's was bad for music is odd.

btw, how do I post a youtube video? Everytime I copy and past the embedded video link it just comes up as html nonesense.
