**The Dragon Age Origins Thread **

Not fixed very well was it

Seriously, jog on. Its getting boring. If you want to have a willy wave, go and do it somewhere else.

Was fixed perfectlly you just didn’t understand it.

Grow up, no one is trying to be better, just because that’s the way your brain interpreted what I said (and probably the way YOU work - its called self projection) it doesn’t mean that’s how it was meant. If you cant handle other peoples opinions it don’t post.

Helps!

I'm trying to decide which class to go with.

I've got a mage to level 3 :p and a rogue to 6, but also considering a warrior. I do like long range combat at times. I guess I'm basically saying that in wow language I'm having problems chosing between a rogue and a Warlock :p what are they like later?

I was wondering, I've got up to Redcliffe Castle (after the starting storyline bits etc) with my warrior, and I really would prefer having a Mage as my main character instead, can I change it any way or do I have to start again etc, what are my options? :p

Nobody? Dont want to start all again unless I have to, not that I mind as its good fun, ace game :p

Also, hate how I made my warrior into a Shield (Prot) spec, fail :( Thought it was the best way to go lol

^ nope, sorry you would have to start again. Ya shields arent great, unless you have loads of stamina for the abilities. - actually theyre ok, but ive your looking for a high damage warrior two handed is a big step up.

Ive been resisting so badly, havent opened it today. Got a ton of college work that im trying to get out of the way.

And for ppl saying it isnt great looking, I have to play it on med textures and normally low graphics and im happy with how that looks. Thats on a laptop (AMD 2.2Ghz and ATI 4570) Looking forward to getting it on my main rig when I get home at christmas! :)

My character is a shield based warrior, and no real problems with stamina for me, even without pumping willpower. The key is to using a bard with Song of Valour - it regens mana/stamina.

Loving the game thus far - quite hard at points ( on nomal ) but not frustratingly so. Played approx 20 hrs in game and still only done 18% of the game :D

Well, I must say I'm not enjoying the mage. I cheated and got the blood mage and a few other specs but I can't do the whole cloth thing in this game. I think what kills it for me is that you can always see that stupid cloth hat / helmet!

Right, going to start from scratch then and make a Mage. Got a better understanding of the best way to approach things now so it should be even more fun!

Anyone liking Rogues on here btw?

Rogues are amazing! Dual weapon all the way, have 2 tanks and a mage in the party with you, mage heals, the tanks hit things, and you go round the back (so to speak:P). Cracking damage, and it's great to have lock picking too.

had a bow rogue up to level 9 I think, my remade dual weild mage is 16 now and I'm trying a mage out now just so I don't complete the game just yet, hehe.

Just installed this and I'm getting both cores of my processor maxed 100% all the time in game. Stays locked 100% no matter if I'm inside, outside or alt tabbed. Theres no way its using both cores 100% @ 4.2ghz each. GTA4 doesnt even do this. Doesnt even ever drop to 99% so its def a problem.

Searching google is seems lots have this issue. Game itself runs well and everything but shouldn't be doing this. Patched to 1.01.

Anyone have a fix?

The game is very CPU intensive, uses my Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz very well, putting 80%+ through each core. Dragon Age loves Quad Core!

You can change your character to what mage, rogue or warrior, but you will be level 2 and need to enable the developer console.

ffs because i made a deal with someone and persuaded them to uphold thier end first now I can't go back on it and just stab em in the face.

This is why rpg should have a combat button you can press to start combat regardless. like FO 1&2

I tend to only pause when i need to use a healing kit or mana potion, or when i switch members

roll a mage and go healer spec you never need to pause again lol.

was trying the game on normal as an archer but seemed uber hard on normal and i got stuck in the tower where u have to light the beacon , couldnt even get past the first few mobs so i rolled a tank got to the same place and could only do it if i went on easy.

rolled a mage to see if there as OP as everyone says and i just thought bugger it ill go healer spec and just control one of the computer characters with my healer mage set so its in a healer role.

games amazingly easier , its ridiculous how hard a lot of the fights are when you rely on poping potions all the time.

Never had an issue until the boss fight. Even then been through that once with an archer rogue, once with a melee rogue no problem at all. Mage's are only more powerful in that you get healing earlier and can direct it where neded.

And this is why RPG's don't have a 'stab em in the face button'. You have to follow through on what you promise, unless you (lie). ;)
