I've just finished the SP, I did enjoy it but didn't have the same feel, time and time again with a new mission and part of the story to go with it I could only think, you what, the story was just nonsense start to finish which is a shame as thats what made COD 4 so good, a solid coherant story. Theres some very impressive levels, and again like COD 4, despite normal game mechanics for FPS's for decades, the situations and levels it puts you in are fairly varied, and the level design has always been superb.

But its certainly a touch too consoley, with slow mo bits and some other things. The story as it plays out in cutscenes is less about making sense of the story and even more flashy and pointless which seems to be a console phenomena, where instead of hiring good writers, fool those dumb console folk with flashy screens and wireframe models that make no sense being there :p

Couple of levels are ridiculously difficult compared to others on the same difficulty setting, one in particular I don't think i'll ever bother trying on uber hard as it was a pain in the neck on regular.

Oh, and its definately very very short, a lot of the levels felt very very short, before the story bamboozled you with some utter ridiculous linking of one location to another, with a couple much longer levels throw into the mix. Either way I didn't start playing till around midnight, and having been loaded up on pizza and coke, played right the way through with only a few pee breaks.

Do you blame Diaby, Denilson or Song for the game being disappointing? ;)

ok despite me saying its bad weather!
i have jsut phoned high st store and they said the pc version hasnt been selling well for them and they still got 5 left for £39.99

DO I OR DONT I

well after getting back from town around 6pm having diner and chatting to miss for a few hours its now 5.55 am and sp is complete.

where is the cheapest place to buy this? if against the rules can someone email to my trust? cheapest i could find was a certain rainforest for £28.

asking to be emailed is also against the rules afaik

Anyway, just been playing this for past 4 hrs after the epic fail that was steam last night.

Loving the single player. Lots of variety with different things. Quite a lot of non linear bits (imo) atleast as well.

Multiplayer is fun however my comments are:

I didnt see any lag, which im shocked about
Fast to get into games
some interesting new multiplayer perks
Some maps are too small
Really would like more max players
Barely any decent sniper maps :(
Spray and pray gets you kills
Feels like a console game

people sure do spray online but the scah assualt rifle rips em apart, great gun.

My second hour online was better then first. i'd like to play it perk free, kill streak free and see how it is, thats the real test.

lol anyone played cod1 turns mw2 brecort level? i'm sure i read somewhere they were all original maps in mw2.

Bought this last night for PC, took the plunge, cant believe the only places that have the console version in stock were selling it full whack. We all know where u can get it for £26. Took about 20-25 minutes to install, 11gig it is

Have to admit though hours flew by playing SP. Played online, pretty impressed so far. BUt after a while I can imagine gamers screaming out for dedicated servers. Gotta get those UNLOCKS!! :D

lol yeah you have to unlock nearly all game modes, and only 1 im really bothered about is s&d and thats lvl13, shud hit that 2nite, demolition game type is ok, good with clan mates in public, and sabotage is ok, but s&d will be best i think.

those machine gun droids need banning.

That just plain sucks, hate DM, only ever played HQ and S&D. Going to pick this up tonight form the local supermarket for £25 and whizz through the SP side of things and trade it in.

Not if you get it on the PC your not,

Once installed its locked to your Steam account...................................................................................FOREVER!!

:p

While I agree it's sh*tty to make you have to level up to play the modes you want, I can kinda see the benefit too. Play TDM etc to learn the levels then when you get to S&D, you're more prepared.

Make a new Steam account for it, something generic, and flog it on MM - there'll be a few people who'd like to buy it for SP only, then sell it on again.

As long as we keep passing on the Steam details, and actually stick to not using it again once sold, it should work OK?

I can't believe there are some real ****s out there that are so obssesed with dedicated servers even when IW.net is working 99% of the time fine, they have to upload videos of it lagging real bad, saying stuff like yeah this happens all the time and putting other people off (not you guys here), I can tell you I have played at least 35 games and not anyone of them I have had lag and only 3 times I have had it reconnect to a new host which was quick and painless, some people need to get a grip and just play the damm game
