My favourite has to be the 90's, quality music, newcastle high flying, cheaper pints, cheaper houses, never noticed so many nationalities in the country.

My worst is this era > 2000-2010, music not as good, pints are way too much, house prices sky high, newcastle relegated, bobby robson dies.

i could add more but that involves thinking, and thats too much effort :p

I imagine most that people here, given the average age of each forum member and the fact that people nostalgically remember decades as better than they actually were while at the same time disliking the one they're currently in, will choose the 90s.

Being born in 1985, I have to say the 90's too.

Everything was bright and shiny then, things were on the up and as toon_mad said, Newcastle were doing great.

The 'noughties' have been crap by comparison. Be that because of my age or whatever is debatable i guess.

The 80s, was the worst. High unemployment, pretty depressing times, poor music, increasing house pricing and high interest rates at the end.

The last decade has been the best..Particularly with the digital revolution and wealth.

I haven't had a great time recently but since 1985 I think the last 10 years have been the best, technology, cheap travel, information everywhere. everything becoming easier et al

fave - 90s but thats probably just nostalgia
disliking the last few years as everything is becoming a lot more serious and important.

A person is likely to put the years they were a teen/early adult on a pedestal.

My fav batch of 10 years would be mid 90s to mid noughties.

If I could choose to be young in another time period, t'would be during the 70s for disco shizzle.

Born in '78, I remember the 80's and you seemed to be able to live on virtually nothing. The last half of the 90's was pretty good, lots of hope, lots of promise. But then mid 2000's-2010 has just been a nightmare decade to be an adult in. Everything has become massively expensive, jobs hard to get, legislation on everything, meh music, political correctness gone mad again, more scroungers than ever before, can't drive anywhere, vandalism, kids with no respect for anything, retirement ages put up, student fees, schools worse than ever and cutbacks on everything. Didn't like the last decade much.

..in a nutshell, that sums up it.
