damn wish I still had a working SLI board or I would have jumped on a 2nd one.

oh wait I was about to post the link but now it has vanished.

Web site error or did someone buy them all in the space of 5 mins?

So if the GTX260 is 80 and an 8800Ultra is 77 then why not sped the extra £6 and get GTX260 SLI instead, as they will be even quicker for less then a tenner extra.

Probably worth it if the rest of the rig won't keep up with a GTX260 and sticking on XP, however can't see it for many people.

I guess no one bothered actually reading the first post...
I did read the OP first post and i think a B-grade 8800 Ultra is not worth £77..It should be priced around £50 to £60 (B-grade = only 14 day warranty)

Went you can get a much faster card for about the same price secondhand..

where does it say 14 days warranty ?

Somewhere in the B grade section.

Despite that, I'm pretty sure consumer law states that a store is responsible for any goods they sell for up to a year, so it's irrelevant that it says 14 days.

Consumer law always comes before a store's terms and conditions.

Unless they list the item as faulty and describe its fault, then it's irrelevant what they tell you.

If the fault described for example is just a cosmetic fault, and you're having another problem, you still have the same rights as if the product was brand new in box.

He said he was going to get a SECOND 8800, the gtx260 would be far slower...

According to trading standards what kyle said is true.

Stores are responsible for goods they sell for 1 year.

It usually says at the bottom of the B-Grade items that they come with 14 days warranty with OcUK and then you also have the remaining warranty that's left over with the manufacturers.

Which means that while OcUK state a 14 day warranty, they can't actually enforce it.

People generally accept what stores tell them as fact, so it's not disputed as often as it should be.

Consumer law > a shop's terms and conditions

i bought 2, but one has been posted, the other is "in the Warehouse queue"

so who knows what will happen :)
