Lucky Seven Lottery Winners - made me chuckle

The new corsas arent totally crap though?

Quite right, the new corsa is ok, but its only ok when you have saved for 5 years to scrape together the 10k to buy it or have taken out a huge loan at carcraft to fund one.

When you have 6.5 million in the bank your view of whats good or not changes somewhat.

Not a supercar but how about a nice slow BMW 320/Merc C200 if she isn't used to driving :)

Only £25,000 brand new and **** all out of that tidy £6m.

Maybe she doesn't want a big car like that?

steering so light that a fart could engage full lock is your thing then it's a cracking car.

Seems like an ideal car for a 19 year old girl.

When you have 6.5 million in the bank your view of whats good or not changes somewhat.

Evidently it doesn't, she more than likely views it as a nice car and something she has wished to own , so why not buy what she wants?

Clearly a fool with money if she doesn't do any research.

And shame on friends and family if she isn't advised any different.

If I had that cash, I'd rather donate £10,000 to charity than spend it on a Corsa!

Not even a Mini Cooper. I have six million in the bank and I want a Corsa, yes sir I have low aspirations.

I know insuring a high performance car is going to be bang out of the question but she hasn't even picked the best car in It's class :(

Have you not even stopped to think that maybe, shock horror, she wants a Corsa? So what if it's not what you would want, or it's not the best in class, people have different opinions and likes (which I'm sure your aware of), maybe this is the car she aspired to own and now she has the money she wants to own one.

She may well find out that it's not what she wants and change it in the future.

Some people are simply too thick to appreciate that not every wants what they want, and that what they want is not necessarily best for everyone else's requirements.

Chances are they are going to sell her something a lot more expensive when the dealers realise who they are dealing with :D

No, I just find it funny that the FIRST THING she wants to buy with 6mil is buy a Corsa. The FIRST thing that popped into her head was Corsa during that interview. Not a holiday, not a nice house or a Hairdressing salon. A Corsa :(

Granted I wouldn't have a clue what to do with the money, but it wouldn't be spent on a rubbish little car.
I can hear her local VX dealers rubbing their hands with glee.

Again that's your perception that it's a rubbish little car, are you that blinkered to think everyone is as enlightened as you?

It really is the ugly underbelly of motors, and it comes across as simple jealousy that she has £6 million now.

I don't see a problem, in fact I think she's down to earth and the money from her comments hasn't changed her so far. :)

That's not to say her friends won't say, "Come on Alex, a Corsa, NO!"

Like I said, she can do what she wants with it. It's the fact that it's the very first thing she wants to go out and buy. Do you not find it even SLIGHTLY amusing that someone has won 6 million and they want to run out a buy a Corsa?

She's probably not really had chance to sensibly think about what she wants yet anyway. She's wanted a Corsa for a long time, chances are she doesn't know much about cars (or possibly even cares?) so her first thought won't have been 'Oh actually I could get nice Mercedes C200 CDI now', it will have been 'yay I can afford the car i've been saving up for' at best.

All of us have the names and models of a hundred different cars flying around our heads all time. If someone asked us the same thing, we'd be bursting at the seams 'oh new 458, actually no the SLS looked cool, oh no wait forgot about the GT-R, actually the V10 R8 is nice...'. On the other hand, she probably couldn't even tell the difference between a Ferrari and a Lambo, nevermind knowing she wants one and which one.

edit - and to be honest, knowing the internet if she had replied 'I want a yellow Ferrari', she'd have been slated for buying an enthusiasts car and not actually knowing anything about it and picking it based on colour etc. etc.

The guy who enjoyed clicking the "no max price" option on house websites - good on him tbh.

Clearly the Corsa boy has no interest in cars whatsoever, meh his chocie.

IT'S A GIRL! ;)

Not really, maybe she needs a car?

Just because she now has untold wealth, doesn't mean she starts to think like she now has untold wealth. Give it time to sink in, then I imagine her attitude will change.
