does anyone else find the game "feels" really dated

i know its using the IW Engine 4 or something but it still feels a lot like Q3 to me

before the fanboys try to flame im not saying the game is bad just saying it "feels" old

I know what you mean. It really doesn't feel any different than COD4.

not having fun at all atm on this **** Brazilian level, so fake and crap 1000 V 1 yawn. prob uninstall this if the next leves as annoying

that level really needs lean.

it's a case of sit and wait to die by nade, step out exposing yourself to 3 guys and try to shoot one before you die, rinse an repeat :(

Completed SP in 4:40 on 'Regular' (I think [whatever the 2nd easiest is anyway]). Pretty good overall, harder than MW1 and a better storyline.

Brazil mission was sucky, as mentioned.

I see comments like this and wonder just what it takes to make some of you happy. I'm only up as far as the oil rig but I'm finding the storyline fantastic and really enjoyable.

To you what is a good story line then?

I finished the game last night and I loved the ending.

It's hard to reply in this thread as a lot of people still haven't finished the game.

EDIT. Replied to you guys within the SPOILERS thread LINK

Urgh, i have seen movies longer!!! but i suppose that doesn't stop it being awesome, i guess :D

Is that the level where you are chasing some guy?

I kept on wanting to lean so badly.

Yea tap side step and get auto shot killed in a second by 10 ai up on some roof. was sooooo annoying but got past it now and back on track having FUN! which is the main thing.

I do not remember paying £35 for a PC game back in 1999...I remember buying FIFA 98 and that was £25 back in 1997. If I also remember rightly FIFA 99 and FIFA 2000 were around the same price...

lol yes really... :p especially since so many people are now complaining how the Steam version cannot be re-sold nor do you get a disc with it or manual...now a game like Shattered Horizon I can understand...paid only £13 for it and cant argue with that I say...

I heard the retail version cannot be sold on either it's steam locked too right ?

I wonder how much "good will" Activsion are giving to reviewers , in no way what so ever should MW2 be considered above 8.5 It`s a good game but it really is just a expansion with very little inovation compared to the last where it should have improved.

Also found it funny how one review site gave MW2 graphics 9.8 and Crysis 9.1...

hmm, the SP while excellant, is just an addon really of the first, graphics are really nothing to shout about though!

I love the SP so far, it's just like COD4 which funnily enough I only just completed and played for the first time recently. I've always been a huge fan of COD1 and 2, and I always thought the 'Modern Warfare' thing wouldn't be as good. I've been so, so, wrong. I'm glad I got into COD4 only a few weeks ago to appreciate this because the SP is sooo good.

I love what they've done to the gfx engine by the way, I know it's old but they've really tweaked it well. Visually it still looks impressive, although you can see in some parts where it's showing its age. The bonus of course is that it runs great on my pc and doesn't need really high spec hardware to get a playable frame rate.

It's got the usual COD gameplay, with lots of checkpoints, scripted sequences etc, but that's what COD is. There are few first person shooters out there that really give you the atmosphere that COD does. I'm glad they kept the gameplay element still there and didn't do what most games do these days, which is constantly going for the best graphics rather than making sure gameplay is half decent.

I may try out the multiplayer at some point, but I've never really been a big fan of COD's multiplayer - I find it all sorta frantic and deathmatch like, unlike the SP which is very tactical but certainly the CO-OP mode interests me.
