I get an e-mail from 'the place you buy games' (the big one) and I'm thinking it will tell me AC2 will have been pushed back to 2010 right??? Wrong! It tells me the date has changed to the 20th Nov WTF??

We all know AC2 for PC is releasing in 2010, even the ubisoft twitter account said so, so what's going on is 'the place you buy games' (the big one) wrong? Or have I missed something and the PC version is still coming 2009?

When will people learn than retailers are not a source for release dates. They just put up random dates as place holders or in a weak attempt to get people to pre-order it.

Unless ubisoft say, its not official. Also, the console version will likely come out first.

Yea I do know there not the most reliable sources but this is 'the place you buy games' (the big one) and the 20th Nov is 5 days away, you would have thought they would change it by now, silly muppets

If the game was coming out on the 20th, there would be loads of launch videos up by now and there would also be a "ASS 2 GONE GOLD" thread.

To make it 'better' which I don't understand they had time to have the console versions at there best by the 20th why not PC, booo

Anti-Piracy tactics. AC1 was the most pirated game of the year when it came for PC. Later release means less loss by piracy, in some long-winded way that I can't be bothered to think about.

I won't be pre-ordering, only just have played some of the first and although there were some nice moments I really didn't think much of it. I'll watch the reviews and wait a while so maybe one for the future but I am not going to hold my breath.

This is not out on PC until at least April 2010. Splinter Cell5 is due on PC same date as X360 version in late Feb 2010 so doubt Ubi will release it much before April (like when AC1 arrived then) as 2 big games in the same month is very unlikely.

Ubi said PC version needs more work. http://twitter.com/Ubisoft/statuses/4339003186

AC1 got heavily pirated on PC despite being the best version of all by a long way PC gamers decided to pirate  instead of supporting the efforts made to ensure it was technically flawless and also supported DX10.1 (Ubi are claiming $30M in damages from the duplictors who leaked it) so piracy is probably another factor why its delayed :(

See I don't get this. I would have thought that a much later release date would promote piracy, as everyone who really wanted the game would have probably already played it on another system and then just download it to see if there's any differences in the PC version, realise there isn't and don't buy it.

tbh if it's released even later that will make more people pirate it.

A lot of people buy because of initial hype, if the 2nd game is as bad as the first one of course people won't jump on it after all the console players have filled all the forums with whining.
