After the pretty poor Saw V, I had low hopes for the end to this franchise, but I'm pleased to report that VI surpassed my expectations and is easily one of the best Saw films. The ultimate outcome wasn't black or white, but most loose ends were tidied up fairly neatly whilst adding some interesting and highly relevant information regarding the previous films.

I was entertained throughout - the main 'player' character had some seriously tough choices to make and the film certainly made you appreciate the value of the NHS :p

The gore was very strong and possibly the strongest of the franchise. My only gripe is that those that died were not all 'guilty' in the sense that Jigsaw originally tested parties who did not appreciate life - I think this takes away some of the respectable aspects of Jigsaw as a mass murderer (:D) and just leaves him more psychotic than the original films portrayed.

Regardless, a very enjoyable watch :)

I quite liked Saw V as it started to tie up lose ends and explain things better.

I disliked it because half the film was filler watching Strahm figuring out what actually happened by actually seeing the explanatory montages that the audience watched :p

Secondly, Hoffman has been a cop for 20 years, and wanted Strahm to die in the drowning trap. How then, with no engineering background and with Jigsaw dead, did he make the room closing trap that killed Strahm?

Thirdly, the ending 'twist' was almost non-existent. There was no shock or revelation that made you think 'aha, clever'. The film left the audience almost completely in the same position as at the end of Saw IV, which was rubbish ending.

Easily the worst film of the franchise!

i just saw it and i found it laughable in most cases tbh!

it wasnt gory at all. the other saws where way more gorier that i can remember

Saw it earlier today. Enjoyed it and and definitely better than the last instalment.
I've also read the writers have Saw 7 and Saw 8 lined up for next year and year after with Saw 7 in 3D.

Difference of opinion here then guys? :) Regardless, there's only one place to catch these movies especially if you're more into the gore side of things. Thats DVD. You know this surely? So why go watch a diluted version of Saw 3, 4, 5 (& now quite possibly the 6th one), at the cinema.

I have seen some of the Saw films. Gonna watch them again before I watch saw 6. not seen 5. Can someone run down the best and worst of them? is Saw (the first) the best? When is the series going to end?

Yup, in my opinion, Saw 1 and 2 were best, 3 was quite good, but 4 and 5 seems more cash-ins and were pretty weak. Saw 6 tidy up saw 3-5 (Saw 6 is good).

I just think they killed off Jigsaw too early on in the franchise.

God they still regurgitating this nonsene of a horror movie??...i got bored after the 2nd one...watched the other but thought they were quite frankly crap.

I can't actually remember which Saw's I've seen! Know for a fact I've seen 1-3, probably 4 and possibly 5. Don't want to see 6 without seeing 5 though. Was it 5 that had a guy on a chair attached to a melting block of ice in one of the rooms?
