Anyway,

http://www.channel4.com/news/articles/world/russian+gangs+sell+fake+tamiflu/3424367

Russian crime gangs are making millions by flogging counterfeit Tamiflu to paranoid Britons online, it has been claimed.

Anxious residents who fear they may not be able to obtain the drug through the NHS may be lining the pockets of overseas conmen.

Many people may be putting themselves at risk of identity fraud as well as handing over cash for potentially useless drugs.

as always, be careful what you buy, especially online.

What a crock of ****

This story is ****.

There has never and will never be a problem with vacinations in the UK.

It is and will be available to everyone, some people have priority thats all.

Sorry, what?

There's nothing wrong with the story.

There has never and will never be a problem with vacinations in the UK.

Where does it say anything about that?

It is and will be available to everyone, some people have priority thats all.

Thanks for that, but not everyone is as intelligent as you and obviously some impatient or less informed individuals are trying to get their own supplies.

as more and more people of all ages this day and age actually shop online, the risks increase, especially for the less vigilant and older users.

it is likely that people will buy with haste, no knowing at the time they have been conned.

Are you saying that people aren't trying to buy tamiflu?

Great!

What's that got to do with antivirals though?

Tamiflu isn't a vaccination, it's an oral antiviral medicine.

No, i am saying people are being scared into buying a cure for somthing that is rare in the UK.

Mind out tho, i had my jab last thursday,(with my seasonal jab) and i was ill for two days, and they say it don't make you ill?

No you are wrong here (again), have you ever had it?

Flu is a near death experience for those who get it full blown, which you would know if you ever had it.

I've had it really bad, I don't think I died though.

Aren't flu jabs for pensioners anyway? *cough*

Really?

I have had it and it hospitalised me because i am a diabetic but it certainly didn't nearly kill me just put me out of action for a week or so.

Flu is dangerous to those who are:

1.Old
2.Have a weak immune system
3.Have a illness or health condition

I definitely have a phobia of the flu though, last time I had it, I coughed so hard I projectile vomited in front of a few friends, it was like that for the best part of a week, and I was exhausted and aching all over.

I'll never complain about having it lightly again. :o :p

Flu? Near death? Hardly!

It just makes you think you are!
Yes, I have had it. Couldnt get out of bed for 3 days. You could have lit the duvet on fire and I wouldnt have moved. Took another week to get over it.
It did well. That was 6 years ago, and I have such a good immune system I havent even had so much as a cough since. Despite My G/F seeming to get every bug that goes around :D.

I usually get something every year, I've been sick on my birthday every year for the past 7 years. I'm expecting the same on my upcoming birthday.

Couple of weeks to go. :(

I've got some tamiflu that will see you right.

Just send me £150 via western union :p

You really don't need vaccinations as long as you stay healthy. And I don't mean go to the gym once a week and eat a leaf of lettuce with dinner. Eating lots of onions, garlic, getting good sleep, doing regular exercise and avoiding greasy, unhealthy foods and beverages.

It's pretty simple, but people want quick fixes and also want to keep their stupid unhealthy lifestyles.

I have my doubts about vaccinations in general, and specifically with the Swine Flu (it is clearly being blown out of proportion, and why the mandatory vaccinations in the US? (or the proposed ones anyway) Seems a little bizarre/suspicious to me.) and I am infact living with someone who has daily contact with people with the H1N1 virus, she doesn't have it, and I don't have it. Not that therefore makes it something to ignore, but I mean...people are going bat crazy over nothing really.

Oh, and I'm not surprised someone is selling fake Tamiflu. It's not really that much of a shock, I mean you look at how pharmaceuticals is all run by big businesses making profits from people getting ill and buying pills, you can't really expect there not to be people out there scamming you with fake medication. Or are they the same thing? Hm.

Oh well. :3

I have 3.

But i was exagerating my point to prove a point.

Influenza IS a common illness, so is cancer.

What makes the difference is age and previous health.
IE the ollder you are the more likely you are to get cancer. Plus family history, etc etc.
