Want to unlock the DLC gametypes...?

Step 1: Download, activate console hack.
Step 2: Start a private match, preferably using the console.
Step 3: Once in the game, enter one of the following commands (without the quotes):
"/set g_gametype gtnw"
"/set g_gametype oneflag"
"/set g_gametype vip"
Step 4: Try to play.

The first gametype - "gtnw" - is Global Thermonuclear War. To play, simply capture the objective: a nuclear bomb. When captured, the bomb detonates...
The second gametype - "oneflag" - is One Flag CTF. To play, capture the flag in the middle and bring it back to your base.
The third gametype - "vip" - is VIP. To play, defend the VIP. Or, if you're on the other team, kill the VIP.

These gametypes were only tested on Afghan and Favela. They may not work for all maps.

I haven't tried the above as I don't want to hack and get banned but it's funny it's possible. :)

you and me both, had them all complaining, rightly about the lag, but why on earth did it pick me to host ?, unless it thought the others were on 56k dial up :rolleyes:

and to top it all, if you quit it tells you that being as your dropping out it will add a loss to your stats :(.

right simple standard fixes.

if you go in your game launch a basic game ON YOUR SELF first !

res changes crash the game aswell so rather than do it in game change your config and you wont get it ;) change config using whatever best i use textpad.

with this you can change fps maxpackets and such to your requirements.

tbh i havent had many problems other than crash to desktop with the res change.

also the lag a lot describe is like server lag .

ive found most people who have problems who cant connect or get lower than three bars on multi havent got router set up right or crap connection or antivirus is blocking.

in other words set up your stuff correctly and itworks pretty good. not as good as dedis but i have 3 or 4 hrs at a time with litterally no problems .
 
I was just downlaoding L4D2, it was about 26%, then suddenly "Starting download". Looked at task manager, no network traffic, same for 10mins. Restart steam and it's downloading again.

Cus they're opening up the playlists as we go along, to stop the player base getting fragmented, they added bout 3-4 new game types to the playlists on the second or third day, for free...
 
whats the patch fix then is there a list of fixes?mine crashed soon as i went to mp,i then went to sp booted up fine and went back to mp and worked strange way to go about it.
