Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Bah at the news that SSFIV isnt coming to PC - seems a major oversight and I would have traded my PS3 SFIV for it...

Will have to wait and see if the PS3 version isnt borked online...

Wonder if it will have protected game saves like sf4 on ps3 ?
I hope not kz2 has done my head in because of the game save data always corrupting i even swapped my ps3 in the hope it would stop .

There's nothing to say that it's not, more accurately, there's nothing to say that it is. Same as at the console launch, there was no PC version.

Fingers crossed it just comes to PC later.
Really hope it does, I much prefer the PC experience to the PS3 :(
 
Getting really annoyed with network lag on SF4 on the PS3 again :(
Seems like doing proper combo's on certain characters isn't possible online.

A few times last night I input the ultra and by the time the game actioned the input the other player was blocking.
Even had one last night where I did a ultra with sagat's foot inside my player and somehow sagat blocked it?! :mad:

Is it any better on 360 or PC ??

Might get SFIIHDR to play instead
 
Dunno about 360 but it isn't any better on the PC. I bought a copy with promises of the matchmaking and netcode being better, the matchmaking is partially better i guess but far from ideal but the netcode is still flaky.

Welcome to my world, rog's EXRU loops are so easy offline, but get uppercut mashed online by all the scrubs.

Sagat and Ryu get a huge boost online, even ignoring glitches like these.

It's the same on PC, either play offline only or get HDR as you mentioned. HDR is broken on the PS3 online though. The PS3 is a terrible console for all online fighters at the moment, including SFIV, HDR, Tekken 6 and MvC2.
 
Been afew months since I went into challenge mode, thought I would have another crack at Sagats hard trials. Last time I just couldn't do hard trial 4, this time I nailed it! :D Hard trial 5 wasn't as difficult but still quite tricky to get the Ultra timing right, straight after the EX tiger uppercut. Would never risk that in a game (EX uppercut -> Ultra) even in training mode I can only manage it like once in every 4-5 attempts. Is it just me or is the timing almost impossible on that? :confused:

Finally though, Invincible Tiger! :cool:

yeah complete arcade mode with different players to unlock new ones. straight forward enough for the most part, bit more to it to unlock akuma and gouken.

ive unlocked them all now, great fun. shame seth is such a ****.

i'll be online tonight if anyone fancies a beat down. 360;)
 
Yea i've been back to the hard trials too, and some of the stuff is a lot easier, esp shoto link trials. I'm having a REALLY hard time with Bison's hard trial 4 though. Checked it out on youtube, and the difficult part seems to be getting enough charge, but my problem is connecting the crouching MK after the crouching MP :o
I've been doing nothing but attempting that 2 hit combo without the FA, and i haven't managed it ONCE!

Anyone fancy organising a propper meet up tournament somewhere??

Don't get me wrong, I'd have no idea about how to go about doing it, nor could i be bothered to do it myself, but I'm sure someone here would be up for it....

I live in Essex and I've searched and can find nothing regular (or irregular for that matter!!) that I can attend and play others in person.
If you look at SRK, there are tournaments happening every week!!!

Anyone brave enough or bored enough to look into it?? Doesn't have to be a huge affair, if 10 of us can get together for a couple of days that'd be a great start :)
Plus I think E36 and Kreeee are lucky enough to get regular play against people in person, I'm sure they could boost numbers with some randoms.....
 
Only if it's local. I could easily host a session at GGA on the "off weeks" that the dojo is run on.

10 is a good number for the dojo as everyone will always be able to play, but only 3 people I trust can stay at my flat.
 
Been experimenting with FRAPS and uploading etc prior to the next PC tournament.
Does this happen to you guys much, cos I do it about as often as I get it right!!!

Sure.

Don't mash your Ultra out so early, like rog's headbutt to Ultra, you have to time it.

Chris you need to get in touch with arthong to pay for your washer as it's holding back my order!
