*** ATi 5970 - In Stock & Shipping Now ***

Think I'll be sticking with my 4890 for a while longer. Might even pop another one in later.
What games take advantage of this card a such a price?

Probably a wise choice really, I was reading some 5970 reviews and benchmarks this morning, and it was all very impressive pulling in hundred's of fps @ 1920x1200 but the same games where also giving around 50-60fps at that res on the 5770 as well......

Not bad really to say its £400ish cheaper.

as nice as a card this looks, i dont rate multi gpu cards and I will stick with my 5870s with tri fire.

id rather have a card with individual pci bus access rather than cram 2 through the same bus. ive been there before and been bit in the butt by it as well, does not always work out how it should.

Price wise though its repectable considering 2 x 5870 = over £600

You're not wrong here. Games are too far behind to warrant spending anything too expensive on cards at the moment. This is no more evidident than Crysis still being the leading benchmark and the peak of todays gaming.

Apart from maxing out the AA at high res I'd be pretty much inclined to agree.

I have a 295GTX should I upgrade to one of these, the increases seem to be anything between 20-50%, then theres dx11 of course, or should I wait till Nvidias offering which hasnt even been comfirmed to be DX11 yet.

hmmm do i want my games playable with the eye candy or to blow my house up......... hmmmmm :D

Well the 5970 can only get better with driver updates as seen by its phenomenal performance in crysis, it has all the latest tech and your 295 is now going to depreciate in price so fast, it will hurt bad.
