if your router can provide static ip's for devices do that, then have that IP in a DMZ.

upnp should make it work if your router supports it but does open up some secutiry holes if used network wide and not confined to a single device.

just a quick question regarding kill streaks.

In MW the old classic was get a heli, die, rack up a couple of kills and then unleash it and it would add to the kill count. Is this still the same in MW2 or do only certain kill streaks add to your kill count. I have been utilising the harrier in the same method but it doesn't seem to add to it while other ones do. Any one know exactly?

No one really cares about peoples classes other than the people who post them

Its a bit sad to see people actually arguing which is best. Ultimately it comes down to the playing style of the player and the game type that actually dictate which setup is best, and of course the gameplay of the people you are against. Ie. heartbeat sensors are great if everyone has cold blooded on, however they are pointless if everyone has ninja on.

There is certainly no 'best' setup and reading people's post who claim that there is gets a bit painful. Its like people are making out they have found the holy grail of MW2 :p

Here's an interesting query from me. Just got a hold of CoD:MW1 on Xbox. During my first hour or so of multiplayer, I actually did not do bad. I'm trying to work out why.

1) Is it because I have experience of MW2?
2) Is it because all the good CoD players have moved to MW2?
3) Are the maps in MW1 better because there didn't seem much opportunity for campers?
4) Am I better at using the 360 pad?

I might have to get a hold of MW2 on 360 now and see if I enjoy the game better than I did on PS3.

MW2 is basically exactly the same as MW1. It plays and handles the same really. If you have had experience with either and then play the other one, they will feel extremely similar.

Yes but I kept on getting my arse handed to me in MW2. Which is why I'm wondering why it's not happening (as much) on MW1.

MW1 maps are simplier, if you can do well on MW2 in terms of spotting enemies you will do well on MW1.

Also on MW1 you can get shot at but still turn around a kill someone. on MW2 its a case of your dead as soon as your shot

Ahh i see.

Well then i'd say "yes" to all your questions above (apart from 3, where i'd agree with Simon, they are simplier). I never get along with the PS3 pad for FPS's, my own opinion of course ;)

Anyone got any tips on doing Veteran Suspension Spec Ops (solo)? I can make it the first half fine but when I get to the break in the bridge I just get gunned down by the chopper despite keeping to the left behind vehicles.

Pure chance

Just finished the campaign, I thought it was brilliant, short but sweet. Anyone else laugh their head off at the "Soap on a Rope" achievement? No idea why I found it so funny :(

I stayed on the broken bridge bit which leads up to the second part of the bridge and nailed the helis with some rockets

Noob tube the chopper, goes down with one shot.

Fall right back to the lower section of the bridge when the Heli spawns, then you won't need to worry about the foot soldiers.

Kill the Heli, then push forward again.
