Cool, no reason to go for the limited edition then, will just try Morrisons Friday morning as they seem to be doing deals on new releases at the moment.

Only uses up 4.6GB HD space (much smaller than AC1 which was 6.8GB). Not only that some of the early graphics are definately a step below AC1. Lots of grain, not sure if its intentional or not but the facial details as well using the ingame cutcenes at the start with Lucy look very PS2 
not sure if its supposed to be that way but something does not look quite right to me.

Didn't Microsoft release a patch a while ago to help reduce the size of games when installed to the hard drive?
Everytime I've gone on Play recently there hasn't been an option to buy it anymore, hence why I went for the White Edition
Unless you went on a different site?

i got a black edition too
Played it for about 2 hour's. Gfx are not as good as AC1 which is quite surprising
All the character closeups so far are pretty poor looking its as though they used the Far Cry2 animators and said make it slightly better than PS2 quality as were short on texture bandwidth or something. Every face seems to have an ugly orange shader applied to it which removes any texture detail as they are pretty barren and also lacking polygons especially around the ears look very poor in close-ups.
FPS are much smoother than AC1 with noscreen tearing I can spot but at the expense of graphical detail it would seem
Ubisoft have included a new ingame system called Uplay which allows you to earn (from your gameplay) and buy items to use. Registration is not working properly for some fields you need to fill out & it's also designed to take real world money from you for certain items (this is in addition to any DLC in XLIVE apparently where will this force the gamer to buy DLC ever end!). Perhaps the better gfx are DLC or Uplay 
(I would not be surprised if they were either!!!).

I'm not the only one complaining about graphics as on the xbox forums others have noticed as well so its either some faulty DVD's out there or worse still Ubisoft have taken a big step backward to fit more gameplay in as that was a big issue for many on AC1 (not me I loved it as is faults and all!).

Yeah but AC1 only went down from 6.8 to 6.6GB not every game saves much space this seems like Ubisoft went the cheapskate route and produced less content (unless they found some amazing compression algorithm!). 2 GB less data to me means were getting a lot less content and Ubisoft will add some back as DLC or Uplay but even then it will be overall less than AC1.Didn't Microsoft release a patch a while ago to help reduce the size of games when installed to the hard drive?
I have been reading that the Xbox version has had textures cut to keep up the frame rate. The PS3 version is meant to be the better buy as it keeps all the textures.. Anyone have the PS3 version yet, nice to hear how it looks ?
Cant imagine this to be true :S Both consoles are practically equal hardware wise, why would the 360 drop graphics it can handle? Seems to me the devs wanted to make AC2 a more fluent and smooth gaming experience. Which is good, its not all about fancy graphics.
The consoles are nowhere near each other. The PS3 is a far more powerful console than the 360. It's just that developers are only now beginning to understand how to code for it properly.
(This isn't fanboy speak, I don't own a PS3, I have a 360).
