M&S Christmas TV ad 'offensive

There's definitely a good joke in there. But being a family forum, rules prevent me from posting it :D

I remember seeing the advert for the first time and thinking that the end bit as a bit weird and seemed out of place. Then again I obviously don't watch enough M&S ads to have noticed that it's something she does in them (or that Philip Glenister was doing his character from Ashes to Ashes - I've never watched it) so it was a bit lost on me :) I't perfectly harmless though and it's just a bit of fun. I'm not offended in the slightest.

That said, when I saw it I was fairly sure they would get complaints about it, or that at least some people would find it inappropriate. It's only 8 complaints though so hopefully they will see sense and allow the adverts to continue to run.

When are these people going to realise that you can't keep everyone happy all of the time. It's disgusting we live in a society that the minority are heard over the majoriy.

Except for it being an M&S(Evil company that should never be discussed) advert I really don't see the problem I'm sure men the world over will agree it's a perfectly tasteful advert!

Well my girlfriend found it funny, especially as she owns some from that line!

Damn hambeasts are jealous I say.

It'll just be fat old women who say it's offensive and by seeing a hot young slim girl in underwear, it reminds them that she is everything they aren't.

That's crazy. They sell underwear. The girl is wearing some. I can't see an issue.

It's better than the ad they had a few years ago which had some shoes in it that they DIDN'T EVEN SELL. That one right got my goat it did :(

Funnily enough i thought the exact same thing as well...but the girl is hot i have to say....:o:cool:

French underwear model Noemie Lenoir:D

Apparently its demeaning to women that an underwear model .... models underwear in the advert! ???

Nah. Its just the manner in which the actor introduces the woman in the underwear which has been called into question...

I can't see anything wrong with it however even though it doesn't fit with the rest of the advert.
