I'd remove the competitor link - not a good idea. I have the 2209WA, it's great. Hope it's not gone out of production...

i've removed the competitor name, dont want to annoy OCuk. I would have bought it from them but i dont think anyone will be getting anymore once they sell their current stock. Apparently DELL are going to release a new model which will be very similar but more expensive.

Well I guess there's not much chance of me getting one of these this Jan then. I wonder how much more expensive the replacement will be. I don't see why they need to discontinue it though, it sells very well. I hope the replacement is E-IPS and still around the £200 mark.

Or even better H-IPS for the same price :D :P

This is a shame to hear if it does indeed come to pass.

The 2209wa has been a lone high-end panel in a sea of TNs for a long time now. Many of us have said that they would probably pay £300 for it (yes, it is thatgood) - So I guess Dell have taken heed.

If anyone sees this thread and needs a new monitor for ~£200 then i'd suggest hunting one of these down while you still can.

I have a friend at uni who is building a new PC soonish - I think i'll be telling him to get his skates on buy the monitor ASAP.

Hi Credo m8, is all well? :)

Indeed, I wonder if OcUK will have more stock in anytime. I think it'll be too soon for me anyway, I won't have the money until next year, and I'll have to sell this amazing dead-pixel-less S panel Samsung SM226BW first.

A few weeks ago just before I purchased my 2209WA, I remember seeing someone commenting about it being discontinued and removed from Dell's US and Canadian websites, they also mentioned that it was still available in Europe. Now if you follow the link on Hardware Canucks, you will see it has a link to the 2209WA on Dell's Canadian website and if you search the US and UK website you will see the same too. There could be a few reasons why there is or has been a shortage of stock, but by the looks of things it would seem they're still available direct. I can't help but find the following comment slightly amusing (for obvious reasons;)):-
