Well i can tell you first hand what its like...... got my PS3 beta key 2day!!! ( iknow this is pc section, but i'm a PC gamer with a ps3 thats only used for blue ray and since as i'm gona be playing this on PC i wanted to let my fellow gamers know)

All i can say is this...... When you look forward to a game as much as i have you some times can be let down when you actually play it......that could not be further from the truth, it is exactly as it looks in the video's and more, i have to give it 10/10..... gfx are the best i have ever seen, maps are huge, but all the fight revolves around one area..... Its taken all the good points out of BFBC and upgraded everything hugely. Everything just looks so so sweet, people get shot properly and you can kill sum1 quicker, the recoil is more realistic and you cant just hip fire every shot. if they are at a distance you must pick your shots, hit boxes are spot on.

unlike COD, when you hit sum1 you take their health, so no hiding round corners waiting for health reg, sum1 in the team needs to heal you! If you hit sum1 with out a kill, you get either 20points or 40points depending on how much you wound them. Which is gr8 cos that way you might not get the kill but you are rewarded by doing more damage.

tanks are outstanding, the tv you look thro is gr8, proper tank style. the UAV is a controlled plane which once again is more realistic..

I dont have much time to go thro it now, but this is outstanding... This is ment for the PC let me tell you!

Cant wait to roll thro this game with my PC clan!!!
 
There is health regen actually, unless they've flip flopped on their earlier announcement, you also talk about kill assist points as if they have never been seen before (they were in cod btw)

Its not the same in the videos. There is absolutely no AA at all. Of course it could just be the beta. The textures are really low res as well tbh. Again hopefully just to keep the download size down.

I think he means that if you do hit someone for some damage, you get the points immediately, not after they've been killed like in Cod.

No no points are after they are killed, you dont get more points for more damage from what i can remember in cod...

To me they are the best fps gfx i've seen on any1 ps3 game, the detail on the surroundings are amazing, granted because its in beta they are slightly toned down, but dam.... things like the trees, tanks everything.... sorry but i'm very impressed!

PS3 graphics arn't exactly good, so that's hardly impressive when talking about PC games.

Naturally it'll lack things such as AA, also incase you hadnt noticed, the size of that little window you watch videos on youtube on is nothing compared to your big TV so obviously textures will appear lower rez (also explains the AA)

Have you played Uncharted 2? Probably the best looking game of all time and it's 'just' on a console...

Yea I guess, however I would rate it fairly close. Uncharted is a beautiful game.

But on Bad Company, the first one doesn't have this AA problem as much. I dunno why Oizu is getting so hostel towards me. I did say it's probably just cause it's the beta.

And you cant compare a platform exclusive title (such as crysis/uncharted 2/gears) to a cross platform game can you?
 
Gears is cross platform.

As I said BC1 doesn't have AA problems as much as this or texture issues. AGAIN I did say it's probably just the beta if you would listen.
 
Have you played much BF2/2142 on PC? And if so how does this compare?
I still play a lot of BF2 and after the disappointment of MW2, it's fun but no BF2 replacement imo, I'm hoping that BC2 can soak up some of my time while waiting for BF3. :)

sounds pretty good, ive been waiting a couple of years for a decent (mp)fps game on the pc and what we have had just hasnt quite done it for me.
the 2 main ones were rtcw 2 utter **** and cod mw2 which they ruined.
i'l be keeping my eye on this one.
